Audio Error Crash

I mentioned in another post that since moving to cc from cs6 I'm having audio troubles. The sound mixer for the show I'm working on records in a polyphonic format so that I get one file with 8 audio tracks. This is fine, but if he's not using all 8 tracks I recieve blank tracks. for example if he has 4 mics tracks 1- 4 will have audio and 5 - 8 will be blank. I have been deleting all the empty tracks before I merge the audio and video. The problem is when I put that merged track into a sequence all the tracks I just deleted are back on the clip, so I'm ending up with the original 8 tracks again. I've noticed that If I double click these tracks in the Project menu for playback in the source monitor I recieve this error message:

Premiere Error.png

I that point I choose continue

Premiere Error 2.png

okay

Premiere Error no.png

Close the Program

Premiere Stuck.png

It gets stuck here and then I just have to restart the computer.

It seems to me that premiere is trying to reconnect the audio with its missing tracks and when it can't find them it crashes. Does anyone have any Ideas for ther ways I can delete these empty tracks? Or have any idea for why I am seeing this error message.

Premiere Pro CC Export Resulting in Massive Compression and Artifacts/Pixelation

Exporting a small motion graphics project from Premiere CC to a H264 file.  Premiere estimates a file size of around 60 MB, ends up at about 1MB with pixelating and artifacts.

When I take the same project and export through Media Encoder, Still compresses down to about 3 MB but looks much better (no artifacts). What is the difference? I'd rather not mess around with opening Encoder.

FYI, the same project opened back in Premiere CS6 estimates about 50MB, exports to 2MB, but looks clean and has no artifacts (looks the same as Premiere CC + Encoder but much better than Premiere CC direct export).

Anyone know what's going on?

ProRes timeline/export on mac in Premiere CC

$

I've posted about this earlier but thought it was worth another try.

Using Premiere CC on a Mac Pro (with Mountain Lion and Quadro 4000 Cuda card) - when in a ProRes timeline (whether it be 422 or LT), and trying to export to ProRes (whether "use preview files" is checked or not), Premiere consistently hangs on export whenever it hits a graphic file (tiff, psd, etc) or a Premiere generated title.  If I export into another format (h264, etc) - it exports fine (just takes awhile).

In Premiere CS6, "use previews" never worked with ProRes, but you could still export to ProRes - it just didn't use the preview files.  Now with CC, you can't do either - at least not if you are using any graphics files or titles.  If you're just using video clips in the timeline, then it works fine (using previews or not).  I've tried this on 2 systems and have found other users on these boards as well as the Creative Cow forums that are experiencing the same issues.

Being able to export with previews was perhaps the biggest reason I upgraded to CC, but instead I feel like its taken a step backwards (at least on a Mac in a ProRes environment).

Is anyone from Adobe listening??

I recently bought the Adobe CS6 Master collection, but after installing Premiere Pro in Windows 7 64bit it does not open/start. All other programs (InDesign, Photoshop, etc..) work without problem. I already uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere Pro but with no result. When clicken the shortcut or executable the mouse cursor briefly changes into a working/waiting cursor, but nothing else happens. Also in task manager Premiere Pro does not show up. I installed the 6.0.3 update, but to no resolve. How do I get the program to start?

Burn-in timecode not working CS5.5

Hello!

I'm running Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a Mac with OSX 10.7.1.

When trying to overlay timecode on a video, nothing is showing up in the Program viewer after applying the timecode effect. The effect does appear under the Effects Controls tab and will allow me to make adjustments, but the timecode is not visible on the video. It's as if the program knows what I want to do, but just won't make the effect visible.

I have reinstalled the program and checked that Helvetica is installed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

When using the Canon M50 to import I had to first copy all files to the hard disk. Is this true of the Panasonic HC-V720 as well? I could not find any incompatability issues but if you are aware of any could you please advise?

Many thanks!

how to export project to dvd? Can some one please help me!

Is it me? Using a transition on a AE file shows no result?

Hi All,

Thanks for looking in. I was wondering about importing an AE file into PP and then using some transitions there. However I am not getting any results.

IE: Import AE file into PP and chop it at a place I want to add an IRIS transition? I cannot seem to figure how to add it in AE so I thought to media link it and try and do it in PP

Waniting to do it without rendering the AE file to an uncompressed avi to import, then chop, and add transition.

Another funny thing off topic same file.

The file is a 1920x1080 I am importing from AE, yet when wanting to export from PP to an UNcompressed AVI. PP scales it down to a 720 X 480 file?

Why? Or what do I need to do to stay consistant please. Keeping the 1080 on AVI uncompressed export?

Reminder 2 questions on this post

Thanks

How to modify multiple titles (like font style/size) altogether at once in Premiere Pro?

$

I have multiple titles created in Premiere Pro, used for Subtitles.

Subsequently, I decided to change the font style all together but it will be very time consuming to edit one by one.

Is there a function to modify multiple titles (like font style/size) altogether at once,

or will Adobe be offering this option soon?

Please advise. Greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you!!

Strange Export Issue - Dynamic Link and Straight Export

$

Hi,

Straight into it... When I try to encode my nested timeline to MPEG 2-DVD, wether via Media Encoder, Export from Premiere, or Dynamic Link with Encore, it gets a quater of the way through the encoding process and then stops... the programs don't freeze, the process still says it is going, but nothing happens.... I left it running for 8 hours just to make sure, but with no luck...

The nested sequence i am trying to export is one of 2 nested sequences in the same project. Nested sequence 1 exports perfectly, nested sequence 2 not so much... I have checked the sequence settings, I have created a new sequence and copied the files from my edited nested sequence to it, but no luck... No files seem to be corrupted... etc. etc..

About the project:

  • CS5.5 Creative Suite
  • It was a multi cam shoot, hence I synced all clips in one sequence, nested them and then edited the nested sequence in the multi-camera monitor.
  • This is nothing new to me, having been doing it for 8 years using Premiere Pro and Encore and I have never seen this happen
  • It is a complicated multi-camera shoot which was hugely time consuming to edit, so I am hoping i don't have to go back to scratch...
  • I shot on 1920x1080 25p

Thank you in advance,

Tim

Hey,

I have a problem regarding the "replace with after effects composition" in premiere pro CC.

I have timeline, all set up, and i have  some clips replaced with AE Comps already but by now

I can't replace any more clips. The Option is always greyed out.

Is it a known issue or am I just doing something clearly wrong...

Thanks in advance!
