Ever since updating my iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 11, I've been unable to import videos taken with that phone into Adobe Premiere Pro 2017.1.2 (Mac). I understand that this has something to do with the new HEVC file format that iOS 11 uses to save videos to the iPhone file system. I'm sure there are a thousand ways to convert these videos, but that takes tons of time that should be used editing videos. Is there some codec that can be installed into Premiere to correct this import problem, or will there be a fix for this in a future Adobe update?

Currently running 13.0.1, and had to reopen a project edited a couple of versions back. Many of the clips seemed to have insufficient media stripes. On inspection I realized that I had used Cineform transcodes as intermediates. I had deleted the Cineform files on archiving the project, and was supposed to re-transcode the camera files if i ever needed re-edit, but I forgot.

 

Strangely though, even though Premiere would normally just show the clips as offline, it seemed to just look around my RAID and found clips with the same file names, and used those instead.

Hello everyine I hav e a little problem.

Everytime I add a mask I can't see its edges. The mask works fine and I can resize it, rotate it and do whatever I want but I cant see the path around it so it's not very easy to work on it.

 

Is there any shortcut I don't know that I can use? Some button to toggle the visibility of the path on and off? Is it a bug? I did the update to cc 2017 yesterday I don't know if that could be the reason.

Hello, I just want to start out that I have next to no knowledge on using Priemere, besides some basic cutting together of videos. I have much more experience in other Adobe products, so I'm familiar with some of their logic.

 

This may very well be something stupid on the user end, but I haven't figured it out yet.

 

We received an mp4 from a client and created captions and time coding, which was exported in an SRT file. We then imported both the mp4 and srt into Premiere to burn the captions into the video. I dragged the video and caption files on the timeline, and the captions show, but when I try to edit the text formatting (size, position, color etc.) it shows in the preview in the caption window and not the video preview (or whatever the window is in the top right of the default layout).

 

Do I need to refresh the video preview somewhere? Is there a save, or an apply button I'm missing? Here is a screenshot of the whole Premiere window. I changed the text formatting pretty extremely to show my point.

 

What am I missing??

I have to restart premiere 13.0.1 a lot. Half the time it does not close properly. Its still doing something in task manager. I have to open it and force quit. 

ANyone else find this?

Hi guys. Very Sorry for this long post. I'm part of a team creating a 20 minute VR simulation and a small portion is 360 video shot on a beach. 

 

I'm having humongous problems trying to do very simple stuff with a 360 VR file in PP. It's from a camera called INSTA 360 ONE X. Their customer service is poor. They have a plugin specific to Premiere Pro called INSTA 360 STUDIO (actual plugin in Program Files file is called 'Insta360importer'). It does not work. All I get is a green screen (not the spfx capture kind!). I've tried every setting in PP for VR. I've tried every setting with the plugin software. Just does not work. Strangely, the plugin extension does not appear in the 'extensions' pull down tab inside PP. To be honest - as a side note - Adobe does not really seem to be on the ball with VR/360 stuff as their tech support guy from India admitted as much when I called about this issue. He also promised to send me a support link which never arrived.They should as this technology is not going away anytime soon.

 

The problem is my deadline is now tomorrow and this has been going on for ten days.

 

One possible glitch is that Adobe CC does not supply an extension manager anymore. On a previous post back in March, an Adobe expert said to go to a third party ext manager. That linked to this EM plugin (others on the internet suggested this EM as well) which I installed called: PVll Extension Manager. However, that manager does not recognize this Insta 360 plugin file. The actual media file for the footage shot has a proprietary extension '.insv' (At least I think it's proprietary).

 

BOTTOM LINE: Does Adobe have anyone who has great expertise in VR and is not just guessing? Plugins that will work with 360 VR files??? I think I was able to successfully view one file I downloaded from who knows where but there was no stiching within Adobe PP that I could find. Most cameras now self stitch.

 

PS FYI, I have been cutting extensively with PP for years

Is there any way, when copying clips from a 5k sequence into a 2k sequence to keep the scale and position of clips identical in relation to the frame size?

 

For example, if a clip is zoomed in 15% on the 5k, is there a way to copy it and have it zoomed in 15% on the 2k?

 

I've played with the project settings and have Default Media Scaling set to 'Set to Frame Size', but this just ensures that my 5k footage is massive in the 2k sequence, and not looking the same as it was in the 5k sequence.  If I've done any framing adjustments, they are all screwed up when copying to the smaller sized sequence and I have to set them from scratch.

 

I'm editing a large project and it's a huge pain to move all of my sequences to the smaller size, but I'm forced to because Premiere has a rendering inefficiency/problem where 2k media in a 5k sequence that is rendered at 2k looks far worse than if I place that 2k media in a 2k sequence and render to 2k.  I'm forced to make this move now because all of our visual effects are being finished in 2k.  I thought it would be great to keep all of our 5k footage in a 5k sequence in case we wanted to render it in 5k, but now it's biting me.

I am having serious productivity issues with Premiere Pro 2019. I can open and create files easily. However, I am no longer able to simply open the file back up after closing. When I try to Premiere Pro simply locks up. The only workaround I have found is to create a new file and then import the entire project I want to continue to edit. This makes absolutely no sense.

 

The same happens when I try to export projects from Premiere using the Media Encoder Queue Option. The file loads and then freezes Media Encoder. I then have to close Media Encoder and manually direct it to the project I want to render for it to work.

 

Note: I have 3 of the newest MacBook Pros and it is happening on each of them!

 

This can't keep happening and I Adobe is making it almost impossible for me to talk to a LIVE PERSON to address my problem. They directed me to this forum which is unfair since I've been a paying cloud subscription member for many years.

 

Please Help!

Since i have updated the last version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 on my laptop last week, I'm no able to start anymore the application as the following notification window error pops-up:

THE APPLICATION WAS UNABLE TO START CORRECTLY (0xc0000005). CLICK OK TO CLOSE THE APPLICATION

 

I am kindly asking help to solved this issue because I've been searching this issue on the web and you tube with no possible solution till now

Hello,

 

I have been using Premiere to create successful projects for the last month or so. I generally do review videos in which I rip youtube videos to mp4 format.

 

I save them in the dropbox. Everything I have for my video is in the dropbox so I can pick it up anywhere. My cache, however, is on the local D: drive.

 

Just recently in a project, every one of my sessions ends in PP not responding and force closing. generally, this happens when I order the program to play media. This will happen in the source window and timeline. I even tried to export an early copy so I could delete the multiple clips the make up the sequence, then re-import nut it doesn't respond on export. Most of the time I get the media pending yellow screen but it never finishes.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Place a clip in the timeline or open it in the source window.

2. Scrub through the clip

3. Clips will freeze on a frame as you keep scrubbing

4. you can move the play head but you can not do anything with media files including click on them in the bin.

5. Premiere Crashes/Doesn't Respond

 

Solutions I've Tried

1. Moved all files out of dropbox onto a local drive

2. Cleared the cache

3. Moved the cache to the same folder as files

4. Turned off GPU Acceleration

5. Updated Premiere

6. Moved all scratch disks to the local drive

7. yelled at my computer

8. Imported clips one at a time. and at 5 it started freezing (2 clips were 1 hour 45 mins)

9. Started a brand new project, Problem persists

10. Restarted my computer

 

Questions for the crowd

1. If I split up clips into different bins would that make a difference?

2. Does the Cache need to be in the same location as the files?

3. Is Sony Vegas good? Less technical interruptions?

4. Does working out of the dropbox affect the project after its a certain size? I had no issues before.

Hi

I recently bought a Oculus Rift and installed programs like SteamVR, the Oculus app and GoPro VR player.

When I now open a Premiere CC project, they start automatically and claim all the resources from the graphics card.

- I already disabled autostart for those apps.

- The Rift is not connected to the PC, nor are the sensors.

- graphics card Nvidea geforce gtx970

 

Everytime the 'Monitor' pane starts, all those apps start automatically.

 

Any an idea how to disable this?

Premiere is now totally sluggish and I can hardly work anymore.

 

Any thoughts are welcome, Thanks

Just since last week my PrPro has stopped working. I am no longer able to import media of choice. I have searched around and seems others are having the same issue but no solution has been presented.

 

I hope Adobe chimes in to give there two cents because this is very frustrating that everything worked fine one day and the next..nada.

Greatly in need of some help

 

I finished an edit last night to an audio track.  This morning like an idiot, I decided to put my organizational hat on and moved the project files and associated video files using Windows Explorer into a different root folder.

 

Now when I open the project... a lot of the edits I made have changed.  Some are completely different cuts of the same source video... others have those diagonal grey danger stripes (where the video completely disappears), and other edits are exactly right.  There's no rhyme or reason to it that I can distinguish as to why some changed or disappeared and others didn't?

For reference, the way I edited the video was I used the top left source window to set In and Out points and then dragged the cuts to my timeline (hence the confusion over why some of the cuts have chosen different sections of the source video since the file moving?).   There was a couple of edits that I used the keyframe automation feature to do a slow zoom in but other than that and a few stock effects like cross zoom and dissolve nothing out of the ordinary.

 

I know I'm an idiot for moving files around.

 

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I think this has only been an issue since the upgrade to Premiere CC 2017 this week, but every time I ripple delete with the shortcut (alt + backspace) I hear the Windows 10 "Default Beep" system sound. Ripple deleting through both the right-click context menu and the edit menu both work as expected, though.

 

If I remember correctly, previously this would only occur if you tried to ripple delete but didn't have anything selected, or it was unable to fully complete the request because other items in your timeline were obstructing the ripple. If I had to guess, this is probably now happening since Win 10 is trying to access the program menus as an alt + key shortcut, and Premiere just isn't telling it that this is supposed to be a panel-specific shortcut?

 

It appears that shift + delete does work as intended, so I'll switch over to that for the time being, and I could probably just rebind the shortcut if it didn't, but I thought I would run this by the forums since it's a bit of a quality-of-life bug if your workflow relies heavily on that shortcut.

I would like to create a new user on my Mac to then download the most recent versions of the Creative Cloud Apps, but keep the old versions on my existing user account. Will this work? I need some of the old features to be available. Thanks!

Is Adobe Premiere CC a professional program?

The program crashes constantly.For example, if I zoom in or out of the timeline.
And when I restart the program, I have to wait 10 minutes each time until all data are loaded.

These are rmf data, raw data from professional Canon Cinema cameras.

Is Adobe Premiere not ready to work with such data?
It totally annoys.A professional work for customers is so impossible.
My system is new and meets the minimum requirements by far.

Hi! I've been having this problem for the past week and I've been wondering if anyone would know how to fix it. My Premiere Pro keeps crashing at varied time. Sometimes it crashes instantly, as soon as I open up Premiere. Sometimes it takes about 15 minutes before it inevitably crashes. In the end, the program crashes and I lose everything that I've worked on. Is there any solutions out there? Thanks!

If you watch any Amazon commercial, when the person says "Alexa", the Echo doesn't react to it. Other commercials also keep the activation keyword from starting.

 

More over, I've started to notice some news shows also skirting a response from Echo when Alexa is said. At first I thought it was a database somewhere that wouldn't allow, but the blue light doesn't even activate to send data. 

 

There has to be an audio fix that allows the Echo or Fire device from activating. Does anyone know how they do it?
