    Hi!

     

    Recently, I was working on a project and noticed Premiere wouldn't play my project back smoothly, even at 1/4 resolution (original 4k). I have a GTX 1080 Ti (CUDA is selected under Renderer in Project Settings), 32GB ram, a Ryzen 1800x, and am storing all the project's files on a Samsung 850 Evo SSD, so I feel like it should be able to play back just fine. Each clip is Lumetri colored, but even in the Editing tab, it doesn't play back properly. I am using Premiere 13.0.1.

     

    I would really appreciate some help understanding why this is happening! Please let me know if there is other info I should provide.

    I just bought a new iMac Pro (32GB Memory, 16GB dedicated graphics) one month ago, yet my Premiere Pro application crashes about every 10 minutes. I could be searching through media files, previewing them on the source monitor, or editing footage (Canon 1080p 90-180mbps footage usually) in the timeline; it doesn't really matter, Premiere Pro will eventually crash.

     

    About 2 weeks ago, I contacted Adobe Support. I shared my computer screen with a gentleman there for an hour and a half, but he couldn't figure out the problem. What he concluded with was that the engineering team is working to fix a problem related to searching in the media browser.

     

    I was working on a Late 2015 iMac before upgrading, but then I started having the same issue with Premiere Pro crashing (which is part of why I upgraded to the iMac Pro, thinking it could be a computer processing issue). Now I can only assume it has something to do with High Sierra and Premiere Pro not agreeing.

     

    It is very frustrating having purchased a $5000+ computer but not actually being able to reap the benefits of its processing power due to Adobe's failing application. To that I say....

     

    Adobe,

    I see many customers writing similar posts saying their application crashes randomly, so when will this issue be solved? Can you solve this issue faster than it will take me to learn Final Cut Pro? I have work to do and deadlines to meet; your program is limiting my workflow and productivity.

    I just updated to the most recent version of Premiere Pro (2019). I tried importing several clips from my Mavic 2 Pro. Some of the imported footage was not shot in 10-bit h.265 (I'm guessing they're h.264, not sure atm) and it worked just fine. Playback in Windows Media App works fine (though laggy). I worked with this footage on my tower PC (which is at home, I'm travelling for 8 months now) without any issues. It's the first time trying this footage on my laptop (2 core i5, Nvidia GT730M, 8gb RAM, 256gb SSD). I exported to h.265 just fine from CC2018 a week ago.
    Is there some codec pack I have to update? Is anyone having similar issues? Is it a hardware problem?

    Looking to see if someone can please advise a fix as my Premiere Pro is not working. (I have all recent Creative Cloud versions, 2015, 2017, 2018 installed) and am running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.3 and my version of PP is crashing constantly.

     

    Here's the specific issue I'm running into - once a project is open, I'll move a few clips to the timeline and then get the spinning wheel and have to force quit.. over and over again. Any major action, like adding a trim point, selecting a clip will cause a crash. Program has caused me to force quit a project I'm working on today over 20 times already.

     

    Here's what I've tried so far - I've reinstalled all Premiere Pro versions - still getting crashing - and I've tried starting new projects in all PP versions, still getting crashing. I'm working with simple H.264 MP4 files that are 1920x1080 - less than 10 GB total for all project files, stored on my Hard Drive, and I have over 1 TB of free Hard drive space... 32 GB of RAM and no other major applications open while Premiere Pro is open. I'm attaching a crash log as well from the latest shutdown.

     

    I use this program for work and it has become unusable for me this weekend, I've never experienced problems this severe trying to perform a basic edit.

     

    I'm asking any Expert Adobe people in this forum if they can help suggest a real fix I can perform to hopefully get this software working again or provide some advice as this is incredibly frustrating to have such difficulty trying to do a basic edit.

  • 12/14/18--14:36: Audio "shifting" issue
  • Hi everybody,

     

    I have to deliver a short film by December 21st with very tight deadlines and I'm very worried.
    While I was editing the film, the program crashed.
    After reopening the project all the audio files were wrong.
    Let me explain: the clips in the timeline had remained in place, but the audio inside them was slipped as if it had been trimmed at random.
    I manually fixed the problem, but after a new crash, exactly the same thing happened.
    I noticed that the clips involved in the error are the ones that had been cut off. Those that had not been manipulated did not present this problem.
    I do not know how to do it, I'm at the beginning of the project, I've completed only 2 scenes, but if this were to happen at the 20th it would be a BIG problem.
    Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem and what happened? it's urgent.

    Necesito ayuda, por favor, con un video con fotos que se ven borrosas cuando se exporta el proyecto.

    1.He usado un video-background navideño con estas características:

    2. Luego, he subido fotos en formato jpg y png  (una sola en png) con diferentes resoluciones. (Por ejemplo, el logo de Biointropic del final pesa unos 40 kb, otra foto pesa 171 kb, 222 kb, 1,93 mb, etc.)

     

    3.He exportado en varios formatos para probar pero el resultado es el mismo: las fotos se ven borrosas y el fondo parece verse bien.

    I try to load PP and the Welcome Screen is blank with a loading circle continually spinning in the middle but nothing happens.  On the top left of the welcome screen box it shows %CCX_START_PANEL_NAME.   I've attempted uninstalling/reinstalling....Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, and nothing.  I've searched forums, have done the whole "hold alt/shift" while loading to reset preferences..and still nothing. Any help will be appreciated,

    I have been editing on the same machine for about 7 months and I suddenly got this error when rendering. (pic attached). I have tried several solutions suggested in other threads including

    -Unchecking the Import Sequence Native box

    -Previews in Prores

    -Untinstall and reinstall Premiere Pro

    -Rolled back Premiere Pro version back one (Though my problem did seem to start after the update, but rolling it back didn't help)

     

    When I go back and try and render older projects that previously rendered out fine, it starts to render then abruptly stops as if rendering was successful and begins to play the clip/project.   • 12/14/18--16:35: Struggling to export
  • Hiya, I'm new to adobe and have made a few videos in the past, exported fine. However this time I have finished my editing and every time i go to export my video adobe crashes.When i get my computer back up all i find in my documents are two files one the Audio and the other the Video. I am not sure why it is splitting the two up or if I have accidentally done this in settings? but i have not seen this with my previous videos.

    Also when i click on either of these files, neither work. It just pops up notifying me that the file is corrupt and unable to play. I have not experienced this before either.

    I have tried following YouTube videos and read the forum questions however every answer doesn't seem to work and when I did the help chat with an Adobe expert, the answer i was given was the lack of RAM in my computer, however i have now got more and it is still not working.

    I am setting my export to the H.264 setting and matching all the sources as this is what basically every video says but its just not working.

    If anyone could help I'd be very grateful as I don't really know what i am doing lol, thanks x

    Hello - I am trying to figure out a way within Premiere Pro to blur the shadows without having to duplicate the clip, something akin to the color grading done in Inside Llewyn Davis:

    I watched a video of someone creating two duplicate clips and then fiddle with those to get a highlight glow (Highlight Glow / Halation Tutorial in Premiere Pro - YouTube ) but I have a ton of clips that are on top of clips that are on top of clips, etc., so I'm trying to figure out how to either do it all within the effects of the one clip or using an adjustment layer. The key is that only the shadows are blurred, not the whole image. If I can't do this within Premiere Pro as it stands, I was wondering if something like the Trapcode Starglow plugin might help or if there's another plugin I would need in order to do this within Premiere.

  • I am currently in Premiere Pro CC 2018 and am trying to use transitions. When I click on the effects panel at the top, the screen of premiere turns black. Even when i go to Window, workspaces, and then effects, the same thing happens. All the other panels work fine.

    We have an apartments construction project starting now (end of 2018) from earthwork, that will go all the way to occupancy (end of 2020).

    I visit the site weekly and I do a drone video with my DJI Mavic Air and I use Litchi Mission Hub which helps me pre-plan a waypoints Mission for my drone to fly.

    This way I get the same drone video path/footage every time to then make the time-lapse with it.

    Of course is not as perfect as mounting a camera on a tripod. The wind is different every day, sunlight is different, there may be some rain, etc.

    In the end, I should have around 100 video clips of the drone following the same path over a 2 year period.

     

    I want to ask for tips to consider throughout this process:

     

    1) Recommended video settings? I'm starting with 4K-24fps and using automatic exposure.

     

    2) Tips on Premiere Pro for aligning the shots? I have a couple of shots already and the drone does not shoot exactly the same path, there is some variance.

    The drone goes about 200 ft high and does a 1-mile long flight, it lasts for about 8-9 min. Also, the camera may tilt a bit making the shot look a little rotated.

     

    3) Tips on Premiere Pro for Color Correction? Like I mentioned above, each site visit has different climate conditions, sometimes is bright and sunny, other times it is cloudy and a bit rainy (hopefully still safe enough to fly my drone). Therefore the color of each video is a bit different. I was looking for suggestions for how to color correct to make them all look even throughout the video.

     

    4) Any other tip/comment/suggestion would be very much appreciated. It's my first time doing a timelapse video like this.

    Since i have updated the last version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 on my laptop last week, I'm no able to start anymore the application as the following notification window error pops-up:

    THE APPLICATION WAS UNABLE TO START CORRECTLY (0xc0000005). CLICK OK TO CLOSE THE APPLICATION

     

    I am kindly asking help to solved this issue because I've been searching this issue on the web and you tube with no possible solution till now

    I exported a video at 1080p YouTube that ended up being1.3gb. It’s a bit larger than I’d like so I reexported at 720p YouTube. The 720p file is exactly the same size. This doesn’t seem to make sense. Any suggestions for how I can get the file size down? Ideally, I’d like it at 1080. Thanks.

    This has been happening for months now.... During an edit, the program monitor suddenly goes blank.  Nothing is shown as you scrub through any sequence timeline and the only way to restore it is to save my project and restart Premiere.  And because Premiere is so slow, that is a huge productivity killer.  It takes 2 minutes+ to save, close Premiere, restart it, load the project, and wait for Premiere to load all of the media.

     

    I have noticed no patterns as to why and when this happens.  Sometimes after only a few minutes, and sometimes after an hour.... But in the last 2 days it's happened often.  I do suspect it's related to some interface bug with the CUDA graphics drivers, but I'm editing 5k footage so I can't afford to disable acceleration.

     

    I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed.

     

    My system is Windows 10 64 bit, i7 5960X CPU, 32gb RAM, Nvidia GTX1070, with a project on a 11tb RAID 0 drive, and 2 monitors (1 4k and 1 2.7k).

     

    I called Adobe support (taking about 45 minutes) and the guy was convinced that a reset of my preferences would solve this problem (holding down ALT while restarting Premiere).  I saw no discernible change.  A restart does revive the program monitor, but then it dies at some random time later, regardless of a preference reset.

     

    An alternate version of this problem is to have all effects control keyframes or motion bounding box graphics disappear.  This is equally frustrating when one is trying to use those tools and I'm forced to restart Premiere and reload the project to continue.

     

    Any assistance in how to cure this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm trying to edit some footage right now and anytime I try and make even the slightest edit, it takes a solid 10 seconds for the edit to actually appear on my screen. For example, if I'm color grading and I change the color scheme. It takes about 10 seconds before that change actually takes effect. Please help, it's literally impossible to edit anything like this

    I have a new 2 month old 15" MBP. I Was working on a project, macbook volume was about on half, when suddenly an audio bug occurred with really loud screatching noise and not letting me pause it. After it stopped, the speakers were really quiet, and after the next restart they're clearly blown. Initially I blamed the hardware, though the same thing happened a day later with my Sony 1000X-M3 headphones, luckily the headphones are ok, but that did give me a heart attack.

     

    The situation is not ok, I am not happy. Adobe customer care chat is ridiculous.

    Experimenting with two different kinf of windows 10 Enterprise version 1809 (October update):

     

     

    Windows 10 Enterprise version 1809 import audio normally in .mts files with dolby audio. Didn't have to do all the usual tricks to get Dolby to work

    Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019( 1809 version without modern apps) will not import audio

     

    This must be a problem with the windows versions: when playing mts files in windows media player, LTSC version will not play Dolby audio

     

    Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 is the version without features updates. Microsoft really don't want you to use this version, but many users find this version to be far superior (stable and lightweight)
