Hi guys, long time lurker but first time poster. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with something. Basically I love Adobe's mouse scrolling/zooming functionality in the Timeline, but I hate it in the Source Monitor.
In the Timeline you can mouse scroll the whole timeline left, right, up, down. You can use ALT up or down to zoom in, etc. Meanwhile in the Source Monitor.... scrolling left, right, up, down, alt, etc... it just advances the play head. Which seems redundant when you already have JKL.
It's not so much a problem when you're looking at footage in the Source, but if you're looking at audio (either a song or trying to pinpoint an exact point in dialogue say), it's really nice to be able to use the mouse to zoom in and out and scroll around the audio waveform like you would with footage in the Timeline.
Does anyone know of a setting that could allow this? The only solution I've found is hovering my mouse the little "resizer bar" (for lack of a better word) that's right above the Source Monitor button panel. If the mouse is hovering in this tiny little sliver of real estate, you can use the scroll wheel to zoom and scroll around the Source Monitor.. But it'd be nice if you could just do that by default. Any chance there's a preference settingI'm just not aware of?
