When starting up a project in Premiere Pro CS5 a procedure is automatically executed to allocate (and open?) (all) files that the project may require. This was not an issue when I used large video footage files that were imported from HDV-tapes. In that case there were only relatively few files involved. But now I use a Sony-camera recording AVCHD video on directly accessible media (internal memory of camera and SDXC). So now each shot results in a separate m2ts-file (and a modd-file). So now it is common that a project has to deal with more than 1000 or even 2000 files. This causes a very long start-up time of the project. Is there a solution to solve this problem?
