My audio guy on a project was saying that there was no volume information in the OMF I delivered. However, premiere supposedly includes this info by default.
The only possibility as to why this informtation was missing that I can think of is that I adjust volume in my workflow using the "audio gain" function, and not the "volume controls" in the clip's effects window. The reason I do this is mostly because you can apply a very easy keyboard shortcut to open the gain prompt, which you can't seem to do with the traditional "volume controls" in the clip's effects panel. It is much faster and simpler to adjust gain.
So, is this why my OMF's have no volume information? If so, is there a way to translate the clip's "gain" information into the OMF to avoid this issue in the future?
Or is there a shortcut to adjusting the clips volume instead of the gain?
