How to change large step forward default frame length (i.e. not "step forward 5 frames")

Hi

I've just migrated over from FCP and I would really like to be able to step forward or back 1 second using the keyboard (as opposed to a mere 5 frames). Is there any way at all to customize this number? Hack? etc?
