I'm having a problem which I cannot seem to solve.
For the last six months I've been running CS5 successfully with little issue. Within the past week I've been experiencing a strange issue with extremely choppy playback. As if the files are dropping frames consistently.
The files are AVCHD .MTS from a Panasonic HMC-80 camcorder. I've tried all resolutions with the same result. I've also tried playback at full, 1/2, and 1/4 quality and the choppiness still occurs.
I've confirmed that the native files are ok by playing within windows media player. They playback smoothly. I've also tried both the internal SATA drive on my computer and an external USB portable drive. The clips playback choppy on both.
I've updated to CS6 with the latest 6.0.3 update and the problem is still present.
As a last effort I even did a fresh install of both Windows 7 and Premiere CS6. Problem still exists.
Any help would be appreciated.
