When I bring most of my clips into the source panel, the timer starts at 00:00:00:00. But on some of the clips, the timer starts at a value like 00:05:24:12. This is bothersome because I need for it to start at 00:00:00:00 because when reviewing the clips before bringing them into Premiere Pro, I make a note (on a piece of paper) where certain things happen in the clips. I need to be able to rely on this offset when I bring the clip into PP. In 90% of the cases the timer does start at 00:00:00:00 but for 10%, the timer has some other non-zero numbers. What can I do to get all of the clips to start at zero. Note: I do not alter in any way the clips before viewing them in PP. I simply look at them in Windows Media Player or VCL Media Player.
