I have a macbook pro and want to buy a desktop PC to enable me greater performance with After Effects. What is the best workflow to keep using both in tandem for video editing with Canon DSLRs and RED footage? Let's say I take a project created on my PC with me on a trip with my macbook pro.
For DSLR footage : Is it possible to edit .avi file on the macbook premiere? Or is it possible to edit fluidly with .mov on a PC PremierePro with a codec such as Prores or DNxHD?
For RED footage : any suggestions?
