I have a video that has source dimensions 1920x1080. Unfortunately, when I go to export to MPEG2 with a DVD wide-screen preset, this defaults to 1440x1080 and won't let me change the dimensions. Is it possible to author something DVD ready with my source dimensions?
Edit: online is saying DVD's can only support normal widescreen, and it's not even really true widescreen, just the image compressed laterally from the widescreen dimensions into dvd dimensions and then stretched sideways. can anyone confirm? am i understanding correctly?
Is there any way to cheat the system by like re-sizing my video with black bars at the top and bottom to make it end up being wide screen in my aspect ratio?
