I would like to know the possibilities to get the desired audio setting from XML import instead of manually setting or select the preset audio sequence setting. Does Adobe Premiere Pro allow XML file import with preset audio sequence setting?

On a PC, Premiere Pro CC 2017 11.1.2 legacy titler uses the GPU :)
Well, just opened the legacy titler in an empty new project, clicked to start writing - program crashed.
Switched to MPE software only - no problem.
Updated the AMD 7750 GPU driver - no problem even with MPE GPU Acceleration.
Conclusion: The legacy titler uses the GPU...
BTW, no shortcut is defined for Switch to timeline, so "Shift 3" does not work unless you manually define it as such.

Batch syncing dual audio
Hi.
Is there a proper feature in Premiere Pro for timecode batch syncing dual audio with your footage? I'm looking for smt that feature film editors could use. I have 35 days of footage (1 camera) and separately recorded .wav files - all with matching timecodes day by day.
Let's say that "mergeing" is an option due to clip-by-clip sync.
I have tried to use "muticam" for the task but I'm ending up with different errors with the audio channels or linking between timeline and bins. There are numerous of ways to link and map audio channels during this process. I'm trying to find out if the multicam could be used for feature film syncing or is there any other possibilities.
Needs for feature film editor:
* timecode bach sync (in bins)
* link between the clips on the timeline and bins
* to be able to have raw camera file names and audio file names on the timeline in the end of the editing process (for OMF / AAF / XML / EDL exports)
MULTICAM ERRORS
EXAMPLE1 ("insert and overwrite sequences as nests or individual clips" TURNED ON)
In this case I have clip on the timeline that seems to work well: "match frame" and "reveal in project" commands are working.
But after clicking "mutlicamera - flattern" on timeline (prep for OMF export) there are still 6 audio tracks but all the 6 tracks contain same audio channel: 1'st channel from the dual audio .wav
EXAMPLE 2 ("insert and overwrite sequences as nests or individual clips" TURNED off)
In this case all the audio channels on the timeline are correct as they should, but linking between timeline and bins seems to be affected.
You cannot use "reveal in project" command that is necessary. Secondly the "match frame" option is not linked to synced clip but just to the camera raw file.
If you bring clip to the timeline after "mach frame" command you end up with a clip that contains camera audio and not the synced .wav
Is it possible to turn off haptic feedback on the macbook pro trackpad when snapping?
The constant rumbling under my finger as I slide clips around is driving me nuts!
Metadata from Canon C300 Mark ii into Premiere - Please help.
We are recording with a Canon C300 ii and would like to import the metadata from the camera (markers, lens information, notes, etc) into premiere. We can see that metadata directly from the card if we open it with the Canon XF utility, but once we bring the files into Premiere the metadata no longer appears. Is there anyway to transfer that metadata into a format Premiere can read? Both Adobe and Canon say they don't have a solution for this, but it is simply data. Does anyone here know of a work around? Anyone at Adobe want to step up and take on this challenge? Can you help?
XMP and Clip metadata/ Media Browser / Markers
Hi all,
I'm working on a big project now that has a huge amount of footage. Everything has been transcoded to Prores proxy for offline editing and it's ready for logging.
The native footage has been transcoded in different computers to different drives (more than one Pegasus promise drive), meaning that what we have is a mix of transcoded footage merged and copied from more than one drive into several "master" drives to be used for editing.
We have projects for every shoot and the projects were again imported from various drives. We don't have a server where all the users could import the files from, we only have external drives. For this reason, the option "Write XMP ID to files on import" has been unchecked.
For logging purposes, we are investigating the Metadata options that Premiere pro offers, more precisely, XMP Metadata vs Clip metadata. I understand that XMP Metadata travels with the file itself and that the Clip metadata is associated with the project. Prores proxy are .mov files and I came to realize that the XMPs on .movs are embedded not sidecar files, making it really hard to "share/ copy and paste" XMPs from drive to drive in the case we wanted to use the XMP Metadata option to share logging notes and for all the users to read the notes that were added.
Questions are:
-Once files were imported into a project with the option "Write XMP ID to files on import" unchecked, is there any workaround to creating XMPs for those files (other than reimporting the files)?
- What is the benefit of having XMP files written if the footage that I have on my drive is a different copy from the one on my colleague's drive? If my file has an XMP generated from my Project, that XMP is technically different from the one generated on another drive/computer, correct?
-Is there any way to batch export embedded XMPs on .mov files? This way I may be able to copy/paste onto another drive.
- If all of the above is not possible, I'm leaning towards using the Clip metadata option.
But I wonder, is there's any way for the clip metadata information to "travel" through different projects. Meaning that if I'm importing a clip from a project (through browsing a project with the media browser) with clip metadata, is the clip metadata for the clip I'm selecting going to show in my project?
I see that the option " Linking the clip and XMP metadata" could help. I understand that this option means that the clip metadata gets added to the XMP metadata, which apparently forces me to have XMPs written on all files, so it may not be useful?!
- Media browser: Is there any way to search metadata via the media browser? I mean using the search tool, without locating the files manually.
I believe it's not possible, so I wonder if Adobe is planning on working on this for future updates?
- Clip Markers vs Sequence Markers.
In regards to Clip Markers I believe that what is more convenient is to have the option "Write clip markers to XMP" unchecked in order to have clip markers visible on all edit stations with different hard drives. So, that's ok.
What I would like to know is:
Why are clip markers not visible as a list on the Markers panel? For example, if I select more than one clip with clip markers, they don't show as a list on the panel (as sequence markers do). Is Adobe going to work on this?
-Another feature that would be super useful in Premiere pro would be the option of copying and pasting markers. Is that ever going to be possible?
In summary:
I would like to clarify what are the pros and cons of having XMP written or not, given the current scenario (not having a centralized server, just external drives).
I would like to know if Adobe is going to work on the Media browser searching options, to search by name and metadata.
I would like to know if the Markers feature is going to be optimized. Can they be copied and pasted? Can multiple clip markers from multiple files be visible as a list on the Markers panel?
Thanks!
Premiere Pro CC 2017.0.1 Crashing / Freezing Constantly
Hello,
Looking for some support / suggestions on how to solve a problem with my current edit. I'm getting constant crashing and freezing in my project when doing simple tasks like dropping audio on the timeline / trimming a clip / adjusting volume in a clip. It's not any one action, it's happening when I'm in effects controls, in the timeline, or double clicking a clip from my project panel.
I have plenty of room on my hard drive, so I don't believe it's a RAM issue (150GB free) - editing on a 5K 2014 iMac running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 with 32 GB RAM, AMD R9 4GB Graphics card, and editing from a 2TB external Lacie HD with a separate scratch disk with over 1TB of space.
I haven't been having any performance issues until today, and now it's crashing every 5 minutes. I've restarted the computer multiple times, external HD tried with thunderbolt & usb 3.0 connection, crashing is still occurring "the serious error has occurred and PP must shut down."
Would appreciate some help. I'm on deadline and can't revert back to an older version of PP to finish the project because it won't even open. How do I get Premiere Pro CC 2017 to stop crashing when doing simple timeline tasks?
closed captions issues after update
I am creating closed captions ( CEA-708 ) and since the new update ( april 2017 ) I am unable to put more than one line of text into the captions, when I hit return the second line appears above the fist. When I adjust the y axis it no longer allows me to position the text - it is either top of the frame or the bottom. As I create .srt files for my projects I need this to work.
Premiere CC 2017 Closed Caption CEA-708 Off Center
i'm having this really annoying problem with Adobe Premiere CC 2017 and CEA-708 captions and couldn't find any information on this particular issue.
im preparing a series for broadcast and the network has asked me for MXF files with embedded CC - for that I've arranged the following workflow:
-get transcription synced as SRT
-import SRT into MacCaption, set all parameters for CEA-708 and export it to MCC
-import MCC into Premiere, drop it into timeline and export it as MXF with embedded CC
the problem is that when i import the MCC into premiere, the alignment of the captions get all wrong, off-center(http://i.imgur.com/qlHZhJ5.png) - as premiere doesn't let me select all the captions at once (feature request!), it takes a long time to fix this.
I've also tried to embed the CC using MacCaption but when i check the MXF in Premiere it looks the same - im guessing this is a premiere problem with CEA-708, but i cannot test that since i couldn't find any players that play MXFs with embedded CC besides premiere.
has anyone been through this and can give me a hand? this is driving me crazy.
thank you!

Is Premier pro cc will work on 32 bit PC.?
Replace with After Effects Composition not working
I'm working in Premiere Pro, and have a couple clips that I need to apply some effects from After Effects on. When I right click the option "Replace with After Effects Composition" is grayed out, and I cannot select it. Looking for some insight as to why this might happen. I tried selecting the clips themselves, and also tried nesting them within a separate sequence, and neither worked. Put in a screenshot of the menu to show what I mean. TIA!
Premiere 11.1.2 doesn't respond to keyboard commands while scrolling
Adobe, what the actual heck?! Have people who actually edit videos tested your new update? Because it certainly doesn't look so.
The new update doesn't respond to keyboard commands (eg. space bar to toggle play, and all others) while I am scrolling over the timeline. In fact, I don't even need to be scrolling, all I need to do is to have both my fingers on the Mac trackpad, and this disaster of an update silently ignores all key presses.
Again. WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK. To not use the other word I really want to use.
How do I downgrade? This is just impossible. Also. Fix it. I pay for it, I want to use it properly.
When I open a project I've worked on in the past now the footage won't upload and it's a mess
I'm completely baffled. All I did differently was first upload to my external hard drive some footage from a video card. Then I went into Premiere Pro and opened a project I had been working on and it couldn't locate the footage from my external hard drive. It's bizarre ! I'm not tech savvy at all and have no idea how to proceed.
Thanks.
Yvonne

Audio stops midway through playback...Can't scrub through clip
Since I updated my Premiere on my PC to the latest, I have bee running through some issues that is causing my workflow to become slow and annoying:
-I can't scrub through a clip, it gets jumpy and audio ducks out after a couple seconds of play
-Even after rendering the timeline, audio stops after each clip and doesn't smoothly continue through the sequence. I have to keep stopping the playback.

180 VR
I was thinking this would not be so difficult doing 180 VR with the Samsumg 360 camera. Imported into Premiere Pro and just doing a small text export. Then copied to my phone to test in a player. But the video does not load in the player on iphone. Other VR videos load on my phone.
Do I need a seperate program to inject the metadata after I edit in Premiere or does Adobe premiere inject the metadata?
Also Is there a program to easily test my VR videos once exported by premiere?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
A low-level exception occurred in ImporterMPEG
I'm getting the error, "A low-level exception occurred in: ImporterMPEG (Importer:25)", while using Premiere 2015.3 on Windows 7. It seems to happen randomly when I play the timeline. This has happened 3 times so far and it freezes Premiere. When I try to exit Premiere the window title bar says "(Not Responding)". This is a new project (i.e. not created in a previous version of Premiere). I never had this problem in previous versions. What's going on?
