I am new to Premiere and I am trying to learn to start editing my videos. However I've run across the problem of when I put my video into the timeline it has this VR type look and large green bars at the bottom of it. I am using an MP4 file. Is there any way to fix this?

[HELP] Frustrating pre-render problem.

Hello to everyone who stumbles upon this topic. I'm seeking for help solving one of the most underwhelming issues I've got with premiere recently.

Long story short, after every time I pre-render (In-Out) the part in the timeline (it may also be the whole project), every single piece of media expands 1 frame at the end and cuts 1 frame in the beggining not directly on the timeline but only on project monitor. And it adds 1 legit frame as there exist in the source footage. It also ruins any keyframe animations already done before pre-render.

When I toggle comparison view, on the current monitor (scr 4) it shows the way it's supposed to be.

Also, if I make any movement of the media in the timeline, so the pre-render drops, it instantly shows the correct result.

P.S. Tried switching between both renderers (GPU and Software). Nothing.

P.S.S. 3 consecutive frames on screenshots.

Thanks for attention and I hope on your knowledge!

Premiere Pro CC 2018 Slow Export

$

Hi there,

I'm running Premiere Pro CC 2018 on an iMac 27inch Late 2009, on macOS Sierra.

In recent weeks, the exporting speed has been extremely slow, with a 255MB video taking almost 15 minutes to export for example. This is exporting in 720p HD format. Is there a way to increase this exporting speed? This seems extremely slow and it has even been quicker using a MacBook Pro which should not be the case.

Any help would be much appreciated as this is costing me a lot of time getting projects ready for client.

Thank you

Extremely Slow Export

To whom this may concern,

I have been struggling with getting Premiere Pro CC to export video files with very simple effects.  My export times for a 1:03:05:50 video have been projected as +20 hours or more.

I have tried exporting on different computers (Mac and PC), with similar results each time.  I currently am working with the following setup:

     Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz

     GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970

     RAM: 16GB

     Primary Storage: 250GB Sandisk SSD

     Secondary Storage: 1TB WD HDD

     OS: Windows 10

Version: Adobe CC Premiere Pro 2018

I currently am working with a video clip with these specifications, which I pulled from both Premiere and VLC Media Player:

     File Type: .mov

     Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part10) (avc1)

     Resolution: 1280x720

     Frame Rate: 59.94

     Time: 1:03:05:50

     Size: 1.69 GB

The video in question plays easily in Quicktime and VLC by itself.  For neatness sake, I've attempted exporting only the video itself and not the opening credit panel I was attempting to insert, and I still got +20 hours of expected wait time.

As of October 28, 2017, I've visited these help pages and attempted these fixes:

FAQ: How do I speed up rendering, exporting, or encoding?

     - The recommended smart rendering process

Re: Premiere Pro CC taking FOREVER to export

     - Disabling accelerated graphics processing

     - Enabling "Use Previews"

     - Using "1 pass" instead of "2 pass"

The forum post mentioned above was made in 2015.

I've been attempting to export with the "Match Sequence Settings" option, which brings up these settings:

     Format: MPEG Preview

     Video Codec: MPEG I-Frame

     Resolution: 1280x720

     Frame Rate: 59.94

     Field Order: Progressive

     Aspect: Square Pixel (1.0)

     Audio: 44100Hz @ 16-bit

I'm at a loss.  Should I be expecting +20 hours of export time with this type of video?  Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Help! Premiere Pro CC 2018 won't import video, only audio from mp4

The title is self explanatory. Basically, I made a very long video (12 hours long) and found a couple of faults in it. Now as you can imagine I don't want to have to go through ALL the footage it took to make this 12 hour video, so please help!

Every time I try to import it, only the audio track shows up. Every other video is fine, so what's the deal?

Unable to export AAF - Error "AAFRESULT_INSUFF_TRAN_MATERIAL"

$

Hi All,

I've been trying for days to export an AAF for our audio studio but for some reason I'm not able to.

I get 2 kinds of errors while exporting. The first few errors say:

Cannot export video effect "AE.ADBE Text" (Sequence: <name>, Video Track: "Video 1 (#25), Position 26741, Time: 00;14;52;07) because it is not supported. Effect was ignored.

I get a few of these error messages with different timecodes but when I go to each timecode to check in the timeline there are no effects applied to the video layer at all so I have no idea what effect it is referring to and then right after that, the export fails saying "AAFRESULT_INSUFF_TRAN_MATERIAL"

My next idea was to delete all video and just place a layer of black video on Track 1. This got rid of the "AE.ADBE Text" errors but I still get the "AARESULT_INSUF_TRAN_MATERIAL" error and the export fails.

I then tried to get rid of all effects and cross fades in the audio clips and this time the file finished exporting but when our guy at the audio studio opens it up the audio is all messed up. He says there are multiple layers of dialogue happening at once almost as if two different sequences are being exported at the same time on top of each other, which makes no sense because I only have one sequence in my project.

I've also tried deleting caches, preferences, reinstalling, etc. My last attempt was to switch to a different computer to see if that was the issue but I'm still not able to export the AAF successfully.

I'm not sure what else to try since I'm not too familiar with AAF files and I'm desperate now since I've got a deadline looming. I'm hoping someone can suggest something that I haven't thought of.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Windows 10 64 bit, version 1809 build 17763.194,

Oh, and one thing to mention. With Adobe Premiere 2018 it worked, but after 2019 update it's not working.

No audio when playing back timeline

I had the following issue:

The audio worked perfectly fine the last time I closed (and saved) the project.
After opening the same project this morning, there’s no sound when playing back the timeline.

There’s no difference either between GPU acceleration on or software only.

I can hear the sound when opening a clip in the Source Monitor but not when playing back the timeline.

Premiere Pro Version 12.1.1 (Build 10)

I found out you have to mute or solo track any of the audio tracks for it to work again !!!

Thought i might share this, because i have not seen any post with this issue.

Premiere Pro CC Scaling Issue

$

Is anyone else having an issue where scaling no longer works in the updated Premiere Pro?  After I upgraded I am no longer able to set scaling on objects.  For example, let's say I want a picture to begin on the timeline at 100% and graduate up to 120% during a 5 sec duration.  Will not work - or at least, it is not previewing that it works.  Right now I'm rolling back to an earlier version to see where the problem originates.  If anyone else is having this issue or has a resolution please let me know.  Thanks!

have tried to reinstall the programs, reset preference and still give me problem.

Any solution?

Premiere Pro - Image Sequence Import Issue - Footage Time Problem

$
0
0

I recently started using the import image sequence function in Premiere Pro to import JPG files into a project in order to create time lapses. At the moment I am working with two different folders of JPG files and am having some problems with one of my imports.

The first folder has 1,271 files, and I have my Adobe Premiere sequence set to 24fps. So when I bring in these files in as an image sequence it gives me 52:22 seconds of video footage on the timeline, which is correct.

The second folder has 1,391 files and, when I import these files, it gives me just under 50:08 seconds of footage (sequence frame rate for the project is also set to 24fps), which is incorrect. 1,391 divided by 24 should give me almost 58 seconds of footage. So something is wrong with this import of images and I don't know what is causing it.

I have redone the import a few different times on the second folder using a new Premiere Pro project file each time and yet the result is always the same; 50 seconds of footage only on the timeline and not the 58 seconds as it should be.

I am stumped because the first folder imports with the correct amount of footage and, when I import the second folder, I follow all the same steps, but the footage time is wrong. It seems to be losing about 12% of the footage for some reason.

Has anyone perhaps seen an error like this before and have any idea what might be causing it?

Many thanks and happy holidays to everyone...

Colouring looks different once exported

Every time I export a project on Premiere Pro the colour isn't as full, it looks dull and washed out in the export. After reading a load of forums they said that it was a problem with Quicktime so I uploaded the file anyway but it still looked the same so the problem wasn't with QT.

Here's an example of the vid in premiere pro and exported.

Thank you in advance

Color mapping in Adobe Premiere on iMac or MacBook

Image is very contrast and saturated in Premiere CC 2019 on iMac Pro!

I check “Enable Display Color Management” (in Preferences - General), color of the video has become natural, but the contrast has remained very strong.

In the video player, the image is correct when I look before or after export of video. In DaVinci Resolve there is same problem.

Just recently switched to iMac from Windows. Is this a software problem or an operating system problem?

Help me understand and solve this problem.

Essential Graphics not loading fonts correctly after update

$

I recently updated from Premiere/MediaEcoder/After Effects CC 2018 to CC 2019. Had been running with little issue for several days, until I opened a previous project (CC 2018 based project file) that had essential graphics that I made on the timeline.

The graphics were all displaying the wrong font and despite my best efforts to resolve the issue, I wasn't able to find a way to force it to show the correct font. I didn't want to re-do all the graphics as there was a large number of them...would have taken a while. Here are a few notes that may be helpful in finding a solution.

  • Tried re-importing the essential graphics template into Premiere and overwriting the file that was there.
  • Tried re-exporting the essential graphics files out of After Effects CC 2019 and then re-importing them into Premiere
  • Tried revealing in the project, making offline, and re-linking
  • Tried deleting Media Cache Files
  • If I drag in a new graphic from the EG panel, the font is correct. The only graphics displaying the wrong font were already in the timeline.
  • The EG templates I made DID NOT have the option to change the font, as they were never intended to have a different font type.

The only way I was able to get around it was to open Premiere CC 2018 and make the changes I needed there. Seems odd that CC 2019 can decipher the EG template if I make a new one, but cannot interpret them if they are already in the timeline. Other than this one issue nothing else in the sequence was off.

Is there a way to reload the essential graphics that I am not aware of? Is there a workaround that I didn't try?
