Hi
How do I zoom in source monitor audio waveforms? I made keyboard shortcut for source monitor zoom in but it does not work with audio.
I purchased the whole adobe CC package 3 days ago and instantly installed Premiere Pro , The media encoder and Photoshop.
The photoshop software opens perfectly every time I go to use it.
Where as Premiere has the same fault on start up "Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close and notify you if a solution is available"
I've been reading through the forum posts for this problem and all the solutions haven't worked for me I run on Windows 8.1 64 bit with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 and have the latest drivers for this graphics card.
I have also re installed CC and Premiere Pro 3 times and nothing has worked! anyone have any suggestions?
I am trying to do a simple edit (adjust volume and trim beginning), and then convert the wmv file (42 MB) to mp4. Problem is the resulting mp4 is huge, 1.3 GB, despite stepping down the resolution and audio settings. Someone else using different software got a 110 MB mp4, which is a lot more reasonable.
What file size should I expect from a wmv if I keep the quality more or less the same? 2-3 times the file size? And any tips on how to get there with Premiere?
Here's my current settings but I have tried many others.
Ok so I am changing the position of a video via:
Video Effects > Motion
But when I move it around, I can't find a way to get it to snap to the edge of the frame or to get grid lines to centre it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Hey! So I added some sound effects to my film and all of a sudden it wont export. I opened them audition and re-exported so they all match the settings (48000 hz, waveform, 32 etc.) but for some reason I still get the unknown error message when i try to export
In Adobe Premiere CC. Why is the image sequence buton not highlighted when I try to import images for Time laps or single frame animation. And how do I put dissolves between each frame for smoothness.
Thank you
Roger
I have created a educational project (part 1), with the corresponding video, all the files like, my titles, watermarks, music, etc.
I would like to carry over to the next project (part 2), without having to do all the titles again.
Is it as simple as doing a "save as", then add the new footage?
Truly I would appreciate any tips, tricks or suggestions.
Thank all that responds, you really help this newbie out.

I want a Premier Pro expert! If you do not provide this service... I will delete my file and NOT purchase this product!!!
My timeline literally is gone and I have no were to drag my videos to edit. Please if someone can help i am desperate to make a video
I want to do a simple effect where I start the clip centered at 100% and zoom to off-center at 120%. So basically, keyframing size and position over the clip's length.
In order to do that, I do the following steps:
1. Select the clip in the timeline
2. Ensure the CTI is at the beginning of the clip
3. Select the effects panel
4. Open the position section and set a keyframe for size and another keyframe for position
5. Go back to the clip in the timeline and hit "End" to ensure CTI is at the end of the clip (the "End" key doesn't move the CTI in the keyframing panel)
6. Go back to the effects panel
7. Set a keyframe for size and another keyframe for position
8. In the monitor, use the frame to expand and move the frame as needed.Alternatively, type in a number in the zoom percentage field.
That's a lot of freaking steps to do something that I do a lot!
Ideally, I'd like to at least be able to click a single key and have PP automatically:
Does anybody know of an easy way to do this? I would think keyframed Pan/Zoom has to be one of the most common effects, and I can't believe it takes so much mousing and clicking to do such a simple effect!
I have a gaming keyboard, so I could program some keystroke macros, but I don't think I could program switching between panels so any solution would have to be entirely keyboard-based.
TIA!
on an old(er-ish) octocore 2.8, 16gb Mac Pro3,1. things had worked fine with ppro cc2014 for several months up until this past week.
suddenly, i'm having a problem with crashing ("serious error. premiere must now quit...") frequently and randomly. even while sometimes doing nothing. have tried to export the completed sequence both directly from premiere and out to media encoder. crashes several minutes into the process each time, each way.
my 2009 macbook pro (2.6 c2d, yosemite, samsung ssd, 4gb, geforce 9400m 256mb) handles the projects just fine (however much slower) both locally and from a raid via fw800, with none of these issues. so i don't think the problem is within the projects.
thinking the boot drive (7200rpm barracuda) may have been fragmented or just old. i installed a brand new 480gb accelsior e2 PCI SSD earlier today (and have copied the project from my external esata raid onto the SSD), and a fresh install of yosemite. the ONLY things I've installed are the CC2014 applications and ms office. and i still have the same crashing issue.
the machine performs well in every other task. and is giving me no signs of issue.
while as mentioned earlier. nothing had changed from when the machine was working fine. i do have to wonder if the problem may be in my video card? its a very, VERY anemic, non cuda, ati radeon 256mb card. i have a new one on it's way. a 2gb, cuda nvidia geforce gtx680. i'm hoping that may fix the issue.
i have read that the 3,1 mac pros had memory issues (slower?) but like i said. everything worked just fine for well over the past year (from Cs6, CC and into the cc2014) up until last week. and everything looks fine in system report and geekbench.
any thoughts?
im not getting mpeg 2 dvd in premier cs6 export settings (MAC OS X) : any one know the solution ?
Premiere CC keeps crashing after I import a video clip. Is there a fix for this problem?
My studio wants DVDs for broadcast. So on my new editing machine I went to install Encore using the directions online and it doesn't show up under previous versions. Do I have to go back to the DVDs to install? What kind of licensing issues will that generate?
Since migrating to CC (forced by a new project only in that format) I cannot make heads or tails of exporting a large documentary
-BEX64 stack hash is the most common error and it will happen when it feels like it all throughout the project when export with AME.
- Ive tried,
- Different codecs AVI, Mpeg2, H.264
- Different export locations (raid 0, SSD)
- clearing the cache
- Starting with Shift +Alt
- Rolling back the Premiere and AME versions (this just killed everything)
- Uninstall and reinstall both Pr and AME
No matter what I try, it works about 10% of the time, with no real reason or changes to the project itself.
Sometimes it makes is 15 minutes in, and most recently It fails with 10 of the 72 minutes left to go.
System:
Win 7 pro 64bit
intel 2600k
16gb ram
SSD main Drive
Raid 0 Editing workspace
GTX 690
I can also no longer export with CUDA in CC. CPU only.
I've seen a few questions on this but still don't understand. I'm working with Premiere Pro CC on a Windows computer. I've been asked by a television broadcaster to submit closed captioned MPEG files for a 30 minute program I'm delivering. The station wants the caption files embedded in MPEG format which I understand Premiere Pro is not able to do. How can I convert the sidecar file and MP4 OR the mov file with embedded captions that I have created in Premiere into the format they require? This is pretty urgent so any CLEAR advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
I'm trying to import .MTS-files into PP for editing and there seems to be some quality losses, I would really appreciate a solution for this.
When i view the files in softwares like Quicktime or VLC the quality is fine, but as soon as i import it to Premiere there is a lot more grain and it's all kind of blurry.
Since there are som threads about this online I have overlooked som possible solutions, and I've tried:
- to copy the .MTS-files to a whole new folder and import the folder
- Convert the files to mp4 using different softwares
- and exporting footage from PP to see if it where to be better
Also, I have footage from 3 different cameras all Canon C100 with the same settings, the other two is fine, it's just one camera that messes everything up.
The only different between the cameras is that the files on the one that this issue concerns are that they are considerably larger (two takes at ~50 minutes).
Thanks!
So we're seeing a weird behavior with some 4K MXF files that stutter on playback. On the broadcast monitor it looks like a strobe. If we disable the Io 4K then the image on the player looks great. We even hooked through the HDMI the same broadcast monitor, so that the player is on that screen and the playback is really smooth. Any idea on why it's doing this? Might be the storage speed, but then why would it play smoothly when the AJA is disabled? Anyone has experienced this?
Thanks,
I just installed two new (1TB Each) Media Drives (Samsung 850 EVO SATA III Internal SSD's) running at RAID-0. I also added two new Identical drives (except only 500gb each) as my new System 'C' drives.
My computers running faster with all programs including Premiere Pro.
Only problem now is that I'm on my second project with the new drives and now am having constant Premiere Crashing the computer.
There's no real primer or trigger when it crashes, but it's happening about every 5 minutes or so. ( I have auto-save dissabled).
It all started when I tried inserting a 30 second mp3 piece of music for a title, and when I rendered that piece, that's when the first Crash started. (during render).
Here's a recent crash report (now a day later and about 20 crashes in).

I'm editing a 16 stream multicam project on and old Mac Pro with 2x2.66 Ghz 6-core Xeons, 32gb of RAM and NVIDIA Quadro 4000 2048 MB graphics. Media is HD mix of 29.97 and 59.94 at ProRes Proxy on EditShare. I have no real problems editing, they system generally keeps up, although I can bring it to stutter if I really push it, but even then it generally recovers well - better than any other NLE I've used and if it doesn't I just close the Program window and re-open and that generally sorts it.
The problems come when I match frame, If I match back to the group it plays back at about 2 fps - its totally unusable, if I match back again to source I get the same. As an experiment I tried to match back to flattened footage - this occasionally works but usually I get the same result. In all case thes Program window won't play again until I've closed the Source. Activity monitor seems to show me that Adobe QT32 Server is the process that stops responding at these times, and I've read of playback problems in earlier incarnations of multi cam. So is this just a bug - albeit a bit of a whopper - or am I missing something? Do Windows users have the same problems? Obviously this isn't just a little thing, I constantly need to match back to place shots out of sync and at the moment I'm having to do laborious, inaccurate cut and paste jobs, so it would be good to know that at least Adobe were aware of it and were doing something to remedy it
