I have standard definition video recorded onto a DVD+R disc. The files on this DVD are .vob files. I have a software program called VOB Merge that combines all of the .vob files into one combined .vob video file.
I import this combined .vob file into Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5.
I have tried so many different ways to get the end result that I desire but I haven't found a solid path or method to get my result.
My final result is publishing video on Vimeo and YouTube.
I need help figuring out how to get my standard definition video that is interlaced published on Vimeo and YouTube and the quality of the video look better than decent.
Do I create a predetermined sequence with the specs required by Vimeo and YouTube?
Or do I choose the nice feature inside Premiere that creates a sequence based upon the settings in the video file?
Then how do I get rid of interlacing since both Vimeo and YouTube require progressive video?
Audio sync is another issue I have to usually repair.
The current results I'm getting when I publish on Vimeo is video that's choppy, somewhat blurry, audio is way out of sync.
When I create a sequence manually with these settings: 640x480, square pixels, progressive, NTSC; and I add graphics from Photoshop with dimensions of 640x480 pixels, when I'm editing the video inside Premiere the graphics look great and sharp just like they're supposed to. But when I go to export the video for publishing online the graphics start looking slightly fuzzy - not a crisp as they did. No matter what export settings I set the graphics still look slightly fuzzy.
I do realize that the quality of the graphics and video will be subjected to blurriness around letters in the graphics when publishing video in a compressed format for web use, but the graphics don't look good from the get-go of exporting out of Premiere.
I'm the kind of guy that likes and enjoys troubleshooting these kinds of issues, but man, I've been struggling with this issue for a couple of years now - finally stopping to write down all my issues on this forum and hopefully I will get much needed direction.
