Within the CC trial of Premiere Pro, the Lumetri engine features are completely missing from both the UI (where videos and docs say they should be) and also they are missing from the file system (looks).

PPro CC crashes when using Track Select tool
This is probaby the most bizzare bug i have encountered so far - everythig works - i can scub, play and adjust footage, apply effects, titles and time remapping, but when i select Treack Select tool and click on the timeline, Premiere Pro crashes.
This is a new develpment as well - i was able to use PPro CC just fine since i installed it (trial version), until yesterday.
No new applications or updates for Windows, Nvidia card or Adobe were installed lately, but all drivers are up to date (according to various update managers)
Premiere CS6 works fine with the same sequence (mixed RED and DSLR footage)

select an area of sound track and delete it without using the razor?
Is there a way to select an area of sound track and delete it without using the razor please?
Like drag and then cmd-delete or clear or something would seem intuitive?

Premiere CC crash while playing and zooming timeline
Regularly crashing Premiere CC now while playing back the timeline, I zoom in and out on the timeline using my +/- hot keys and Premiere CC will crash. I hate to say it but Premiere is starting to become unstable like my prior copy of Sony Vegas Pro. It's frustrating.
Please explain how smart render and mezzanine codecs work
What is the workflow for using mezzanine codecs (specifically ProRes and DNxHD) and smart render?
I am interested in a faster render and export option. I never use camera footage, always original animation mov files from AE provided by our GFX team.
Also work in 4k and larger custom sequence sizes. (Which excludes DNxHD, so I guess I am really talking about ProRes)
Any advice and clarification would be appreciated.
Premiere pro CC + Blackmagic Intensity Pro unusable!
Here we go again, as soon as Premiere pro CC loads the speakers start crackling and the audio for the whole system becomes unmanageble, have to restart computer.
So basicaly I can't use PPr CC. Just to let you know, I'm not gonna waist any time on this right now, PPr cs6 is working fine with the Intensity pro.
I output my audio through the intensity pro for everything
updated Blackmagic drivers, repaired persmision, etc...

Multicam: sync angles with multiple clips.
Good time of day everyone. I have beed working on the project that involves a lot of multicam syncing and editing.
At first I was very inspired with Premiere CC new multicam audio sync feature. However, I suddenly realized that there is no way to sync multiple clips from different cameras (angles, bins, etc.) the way PluralEyes does it. Only single-clip angles to a given audiom or multiple clips from one bin to audio.
So please, correct me if I'm wrong. Is there a way to sync angles with multple clips in Preliere CC?
Convert dual mono back to stereo - Premiere & PluralEyes
Alright guys, here's my dilemma.
I record external audio on my zoom recorder and sync it up in post with PluralEyes in premiere. Basically how this works if you're not familiar is, I load all my footage (video and external audio) into a temp sequence and export that via XML. Then, I import that sequence into PluralEyes and it does all the syncing, then exports out a second XML that has the same footage but the audio synced up. Now, this seems all fine and dandy except when it exports the second XML back out, it converts all my stereo audio tracks to dual mono.
This is a dealkiller for me. Between fades and all the work I need to do within premiere, it's a lot easier to only have to make those adjustments on one track rather than two. I've tried changing the 'default audio tracks' in premiere's settings but no dice.
SO, my question is as follows:
Can I make PluralEyes spit out a STEREO synced sequence, or, can I convert the dual mono tracks back to stereo within the synced sequence either in Premiere or Audition somehow? I'd like it to be as streamlined of a solution as possible as I don't always manage to import all my footage at the same time. So, if I have a shoot that lasts multiple days, it's kind of a pain to go back and forth between Premiere and Audition and juggle different sequences and multitrack sequences around for every day I import new footage.
Also, might be worth mentioning I have Pluraleyes v2, not the newest v3 after Red Giant bought Singular. I also have CS6 Master Collection.
Thanks a ton for the help guys. If I was at all unclear explaining above please don't hesitate to let me know.
XDCAM .mov Files on a PC in PrPro CC
Anybody know if there will be any support for XDCAM .mov files in Premiere Pro CC? I have a feeling that this is a limitation of Windows rather than Pr as it works fine on a Mac.
Is the Calibrated software plugin the only workaround available or will CC help in any way?
Thanks guys!
AVCHD Workflow help
Hello all,
I will be migrating to Premiere Pro CS6 from FInal Cut Pro 7 starting this fall for all of my video production classes. I need some guidance on workflow.
We currently shoot on Sony NX70u which uses the AVCHD codec producing .MTS files. I've been working with the native AVCHD files on PP CS6 for a few days now to get acquainted with the workflow and performance on our Macs (some iMacs and some Mac Pro towers) and so far so good. My question:
I know PP CS6 will work with the native AVCHD files, but I'm worried about performace issues with my Macs. Is there any reason to transcode the AVCHD files to another codec before editing in PP? I guess I'm still in the Final Cut Pro-Log and Transfer mode of thinking about files
Cheers,
Micheal

This happens every time I open Premiere Pro CC. I have not been able to find any info online about this. Premiere Pro CC works fine on my desktop but for some reason it hates my laptop.
Premiere Pro CS6 works just fine on my laptop, I've never had a problem with it. Any help on this would be great. I have already tried running the CC cleaner script and that did nothing. Thanks.
Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Keyboard shortcuts in Premiere Pro CC
This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts-c c.html
Using Titles created with the Title Tool Crash PPRO CC
I'm running into an issue where when using TITLES created in PPro CC and then lay them over footage, the video playback just goes to black and won't playback my timeline. It literally forces me to quit, restart and then render upon re-entry to even preview my titles. Thoughts? Ideas?
Seems all the issues I run into are with video playback/output. I previously posted that my screen goes black or white when CC will cease to playback any more video... this usually happens when I apply a filter and begin to play around with it, tweaking the settings. If I drop and go it seems to just work... but anytime I need to playback, repeatidly, my machine crashes videoplayback. Luckily I can save and quite still, as I recognize the error, but this is a pretty ridiculous request 25 times a day... At the moment Premiere (non PRO) from 10 years ago was more stable in this department... I'm sure its just something with my machine, but until someone can answer otherwise, it leads me to believe this is just an unstable build... and I don't want to think of it like that.
For the record --
Running OSX 10.8.4, Macbook Retina, Nvidia GeForce GT 650M, CUDA Driver 5.0.61, 16GB Ram... mostly DSLR footage and some ProRes files. Using a USB 3 drive and not noticing a difference when using the desktop as a testing ground...
Is there anything I'm missing, places to look?
"Use Preview Files" works in CS5.5 but is "Useless" in CS6
I'm a heavy user of the "Use Previews Files" option when exporting files. This has worked great with Premiere CS5.5 but using the same method in CS6 no longer works and reverts back to rerendering the original files in the timeline and rerendering all the effects on them which is very time consuming since the original files are HD and are being downscaled in a DV widescreen timeline.
Anyone figure out how to get Premiere CS6 to correctly find the preview files when exporting using the "Use Preview Files" option?
In the meantime, I had to load all the preview files I had rendered back into a new timeline and reassemble them in the correct order. Once I did that, I exported this 1 hour 38 minute timeline to an MPEG-2 file which only took 19 minutes instead of the 7 hours it would have taken even with the "Use Preview Files" on and with a fully rendered timeline.
Again, it works great in CS5.5 so something changed in CS6 to make the "Use Preview Files" useless now.

50i footage best workflow for progressive output (web/youtube) / deinterlace
Hello
The reason I have to work with interlaced footage is that the clips are edited for a TV show as well.
I (usualy) get 1080i @ 50fps clips with fast-paced movement of camera & inside the shot (subject) - car racing.
Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5
I am struggling with some stutter & sharpness loss & thin interlaced lines (even after exporting as progressive).
The current workflow is:
- importing inside an AVCHD - 1920x1080 @ 50i sequence
- edit
- export as h264 - 1920x1080 @ 25P /Constrant Bit Rate @ 10MB
Results not that great : while the smoothness of motion is preserved there is a visible drop in details quality and still visible thin horizontal lines from the interlaced footage.
Also tried:
- importing inside an AVCHD - 1920x1080 @ 25P sequence
- edit
- select 'Always deinterlace' option inside Field Options box (takes extra some time because i have to do this for each individual clip)
- export as h264 - 1920x1080 @ 25P /Constrant Bit Rate @ 10MB
Results not that great : stutter motion, more visible drop in details quality and no horizontal lines visible.
My questions are:
1)What is the best sequence settings for editing 50i settings and exporting for WEB/progressive?
2)What is the best deinterlace option? ('interpret footage>no field' does not help)
3)What is the best output/export settings?
Thank you!
The Mac CS6 "Serious Error" thread
It looks like there are 4-6 disjointed threads about some big problems Mac users are finding with CS6 (and 6.0.1) To give us a better place to figure out solutions and for others to find with a search, maybe we can post a discussion here.
The Adobe engineers are participating and receiving crash logs, and hopefully a pattern can develop.
I'm on a MacPro 4,1, Lion 10.7.4, CS6.0.1, 32GB RAM, GTX 285 with the latest nVidia and CUDA drivers. I am seeing 2 primary issues:
Lots of Serious Error crashes. This happens without any noticeable pattern - sometimes with the title tool, trim monitor, or simply just scrubbing the timeline. It seems to happen more frequently with Dynamic Links in the timeline. Also, I believe it is happening more often (or maybe exclusively) with the MPE GPU option enabled. I think in Software Only mode, it may not be present, although further testing required.
Also, I am having an issue where Pr will display black only in the source and program monitors, unless I click around the timeline and will get flashes of images. This is remedied by changing over to Software Only for the MPE. It seems to be worse if Safari is running.
Wil - an Adobe engineer - has taken a look at my crash logs and seems to think something is funky with the graphcs drivers in both cases, but crash logs from other users seem to not agree.
CS6 on the mac - for me and a few others - is incredibly flaky. If you are having issues, can you post and explain what you are seeing and what your hardware/driver config is. Any patterns we can find will help the engineers troubleshoot and get this taken care of.
Exporting at a higher resolution than 1920 x 1080?
A few people on Youtube have been uploading video at 2048 x 1152 and I wanted to do the same. I have looked through Media Encoder's setting and attempted to manually override the 1920 x 1080 settings without success.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
