Premiere does not import audio that is attached to video

Alright, so I've downloaded a few videos that I need to include in my movie onto my desktop. If I watch them in say, quick time player, there is audio and I can hear everything perfectly. Once I import the file into premiere though, the audio detaches and is nowhere to be found! It's like it doesn't exist or something.

I've looked everywhere for a solution and can't seem to find one so please help!

 

In the timeline the file appears as purple instead of the normal blue with audio attached if that helps.

No audio when importing GoPro clips

Just got some kind of update from Adobe - it updated like 7 apps on my system, so I'm pretty sure Premier got updated.

 

Went back to a project I have and first of all, all the media links to the data on my HD were broken.  I couldn't restore them even pointing them at the media on my machine.

 

Second, I tried importing a new GoPro MP4 set of data, and it imported with a purple color icon - like a title - and there is no audio.  I've tried everything I found here in this article:  MP4, MOV, AVCHD files import without audio in Premiere Pro CC (2015.3) , but no use.  Didn't work at all.

 

So, I'm pretty well screwed.  No audio.  I can play the file just fine with Media Play in Windows, but Adobe refuses to see the audio.

 

Any ideas?

PREMIERE PRO CC 2017 Crashing on Mac

Premiere Pro has been routinely causing my iMac to crash since the 2017 update, at least 4-5 times per day.  This happens most commonly when I'm masking.  No other software is doing causing this problem.  I've built out massive compositions in After Effects with no real issue that haven't caused a crash.  I'm not entirely sure why such a simple function is doing this.

Fade out not smooth, why?

I've noticed that when I fade a video clip to either black or into another clip the first 0- 80% of the dissolve is smooth, then the last 20% is rather abrupt and quick. I'm not sure how to explain this properly but it seems the dissolve is not evenly spaced, I've even created a handle and slowed the last bit of the transition down but it's very fiddly to do, is this normal behaviour?

I've not had any issue with earlier versions of Premiere, the fades used to be smooth and even, anyone else notice this or got a fix?

Sequence settings 1080p but render as 4k?

I noticed that if my sequence settings are at 1080p instead of 4k editing is much faster, even if I drop the same (4k) footage in.

The question is do I loose any quality if I edit 1080p sequence and then render output as 4k?

Graphic (AI format) is only half showing in premiere pro CC

Hi everyone. I am having some issues with Premiere. Admittedly, I don't know what I am doing, but I tried to insert my company logo on the first and last frame of my video and when I insert the logo - which is in AI format, but have also tried png - it only shows part of it.

 

Can anyone help?

Premiere Pro CC 2015.2 is not starting up at all...

Whether I double click the desktop shortcut, right-click open, or try to open a project from the adobe file on my computer, Premiere will simply not start up. No error message, nothing. When I check task manager, it shows that it is running (i guess), but there is nothing anywhere else to indicate it is loading. I am running Windows 10 64-bit, AMD A8-5500 APU processor. Any help would be appreciated, as I need to use the program very soon.

"Sorry, a serious problem has occured..." 2017.0.2, macOS 10.12.4, OpenCL, Multi-Camera

I'm experiencing a constant crash on a MacPro, even though I've been using this particular Multi-Camera workflow on this machine for years. Here's what happens:

 

Video Rendering and Playback are set to OpenCL. Then when I change the Program monitor to Multi-Camera, Premiere will crash with the 'Sorry' message. I can occasionally get into Multi-Camera mode, but it will crash when sequence playback reaches a switch of cameras. The problem seemed to start with the macOS Sierra 10.12.4 update. I can switch to CUDA or Metal and not experience the crash, but the playback has always dropped frames. OpenCL has always provided rock-solid playback.

 

Things I've tried that haven't worked:

 

  • Trashed the Premiere Preferences.
  • Cleared the Media Cache(s).
  • Upgraded/downgraded GPU drivers (Nvidia official Pascal drivers 378.05.05.05f01 and Web Driver 346.03.05f02).

 

Computer specs:

 

  • 2010 MacPro (5,1), 3.46GHz 12-core, 96 GB 1,333MHz RAM
  • PCIe Flash SSD (system drive, 1,365 MB/s)
  • RAID-0 PCIe SSD (media drive, 878 MB/s)
  • Nvidia Titan X

 

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, I'd do back flips to hear your solution(s).

Key Frame Distance (please help!)

On the export setting video tab...  Under advanced, what in the hell should 'Key Frame Distance' be set at? This is for a fast paced music video. Should it even be ticked?

 

Ive watched a bunch of YouTube videos on this subject but most contradict each other! So I'm truly bemused...

 

Can someone really break down in layman terms; what this setting does. And is it true that its good to set it at half the FPS (I'm at 25 FPS - and so set the key frame distance at 12, for example?)

 

Any and all advice is so greatly appreciated!

Audio quality greatly decreases when added to timeline

Sorry I am new to premiere but when i add an audio clip to the to timeline the audio quality of the clip decreases. I know I must be doing something wrong but i can not find the solution anywhere. Any help is appreciated.

Any program crashes when opening file

Whenever I try to open a file through an adobe app, the entire application just crashes.

 

How can I troubleshoot this? Google didn't help me, as I can't find anyone with the same problem..

Premiere Pro - Encore - Flash - Chrome?

I edited a Premiere Pro project and created a Flash file in Encore for an interactive exhibit at a museum.  I used Flash for we did not want a dvd and all the moving parts, but needed essentially a disc menu for visitors to choose their viewing experience, and the exhibit runs all the time.  Worked fine last year until Chrome stopped supporting Flash.     Though current, Premiere Elements does not appear to be able to accomplish the demands of the exhibit's menu as Encore did.  Thoughts or current Apps on how to get this up and running?  Thanks.

Morph Cut won't render when using text

Hi everyone,

 

Currently working on an interview, Morph Cut is really saving me at some point.

However, Morph cut refuses to render when a text layer is sitting right above it.

 

I've tried it on different projects, tried to export it but nevertheless, won't render.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the text layer because it works when hiding it...

 

Had anyone encounter the same problem?

I'm out of solution here.

Adaptive Noise Reduction In Premiere Pro CC 2017

So I had this same problem with the DeNoiser a while back.  When I added the Adaptive Noise Reduction (ANR) to all my clips with audio, there was a delay and a hissing noise.  I understand that the delay is there because the system is adapting, so that's why I tried to put ANR onto my master mixer so that rather than applying it to all the clips individually, it would apply ANR to the clips holistically.  This worked for me when I used the DeNoiser effect.  However, this doesn't seem to be working for ANR.  It works for some of my clips, but not for most of them.  I was wondering if anyone has found a solution?  Someone said something about using keynotes but my audio is timed to music so I don't have room to expand it.  Does ANR export without this delay?  Or is the delay there for good?

Can't paste video sources into Timeline?

I started putting together a video with video and audio clips. Usually, the timeline lets me post both audio (A1, A2, A3) and video (V1, V2, V3) sources, like in this other person's screenshot:

However, I'm not sure what I pressed, but mid-project, my timeline only showed the audio and wouldn't let me post video clips. It looks like this:

 

(note the V1, V2, and V3 are now missing)

Playback still works fine and shows my video that I had previously added when I had V1, V2 and V3 on my timeline, but I can't add any more video clips to the timeline now because the V1, V2 and V3 don't even show up. I've toggled everything I could find and haven't been able to bring it back.

 

Suggestions? Thanks so much in advance!

Premiere Pro Trial Version expired after 12 hours

Installed the trial version of Premiere Pro 12 hours ago. It said it would expire in 7 days.

 

But now it it is already saying 'Trial Expired'

 

Why is this happening and how do I get the other 6 and half days of trial period back?

Error Compiling Movie | Morph Cut

Hello All,

 

I was wondering if anybody has had this issue that I have been having for some months now. When I use the Morph Cut feature and export at "Maximum Render Quality" or "Render at Maximum Depth" my Premiere Pro system gives me a low-level error and then soon after crashes Premiere Pro.

 

Attached is a screenshot of this problem I keep having. I've tried clearing my cache's and cleaning things up. Even tried exporting through Media Encoder.

 

I'm currently running the latest version of Premiere Pro 2017.

Imported Footage No Audio - Premiere Pro 2017

I updated to Premiere Pro 2017 this morning. I went in to do some work on a project but when I imported some screen recorded footage that has audio and that appeared when imported into the last version.

 

Also a lot of the screen recorded or AE exported footage in the project was made offline since the update and when I re-link them it gives me the error that the audio doesn't match the audio in the original clip.

 

But it won't import the audio clip, which is crucial to my workflow.

 

Any suggestions on if this is a bug with Premiere or is there a setting I need to enable?

application unable to start correctly (error code 0xc0150004)

HI, I downloaded Adobe Premier Pro CC 2017 on my desktop and attempted to use it. It gives an error message code 0xc0150004 saying the application was unable to start correctly. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and get the same error. I also already attempted to get help via chat but was told to ask the experts as the chat team can only help with installation queries (which, having just installed, I thought this was!!!!). Leaving aside my obvious dissatisfaction so far, can anyone please help me override this error so I can use my product? Thank you in advance for your support.
