Does anybody know if it's posible to write text and insert grafics in Premiere Pro 2018 for a VR video 180 side-by-side. When I search for side-by-side options in effects for VR I only get monoscopic and over-and-under options. Does the new effects that has been incorparated in the new version from Mettle Skybox don't support that?

Crashes on Footage import - Haberdasher/AEVideoFilter
Premiere crashes when I try to import Alexa footage.
I am running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29)
The latest Premiere.
Have tried creating a new project, and using an old project and converting to 2018.
Have tried changing Mercury playback to software only.
I can successfully import MXF and ProRes.
The 4K MOVs from the Alexa crash Premiere almost instantly.
Please help. Tight deadlines. Thanks!

aivx sony f55
Has anyone encountered .mov files that are in the aivx codec created with Sony F55? I'm getting a "codec missing" message and can't open them in Quicktime or Premiere Pro CC 2014. I've searched for the codec online and haven't found anything.

Video Metadata
Hello
Does PP capture metadata streams from when creating video clips from raw video?
Does PP enable the user to select/create metadata fields for a video clip?
If so can someone post the fields that are available?
The reason for these questions is that my organization is trying to corral the huge amount of video clips in our archives and make the search function of our OS more efficient by making better use of metadata.

How do I reload a Premiere Pro project to refresh Typekit?
When I open a file that is using synced fonts, I get this message:
I do wait. But even after hours, Premiere is still showing substituted fonts, and TypeKit fonts are unavailable in the font menu. It seems to assume a Reload Project command, but I can't find one.
This is beginning to drive me a little batty. I have tried closing the project and then loading it again, but I just get another TypeKit warning, starting the wait all over again.
How am I supposed to reload a project? Why is there nothing in the warning (or in any documentation I can find) to tell me how to reload a project? It seems to assume a Reload Project command, but I can't find one.

Interface disappears, work lost
Twice since the new 2018 update, I have had the entire interface go black and unresponsive leaving me with no option but to close the program. When opening it back up, work was lost. I started a new project, a short trailer, after downloading the new upgrades. In the media browser, I had imported a prior PP project that had been rendered and exported. I double clicked on it t bring it into the source monitor and instead, the entire project opened in the timeline. No problem, I went to the file menu and selected the project I was working on. This made the screen go black and unresponsive. When I reopened PP, the project had no sequence in the timeline. I searched my file explorer and found a previously saved version. After this experience, I became paranoid about saving. I saved three ways immediately. Control + C (windows), save icon, and file, save as. When I did this last save, it went black again. Recovering my file got me an even earlier version so I lost even more work. I have learned that if you don't change the file name (I have added a time to the date) it will go black if you select to overwrite a previously saved version. I have also noticed the program freezes more frequently, which I have learned to unfreeze by hitting Control + C. While I like being able to have several PP projects open at once for shorts and trailers, it seems to have some bugs that need to be worked out.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 crashing during import
Just update to the latest version.
Trying to import Alexa Prores footage. Premiere crashes every single time.
Aka the software is not usable in its current built.
It appears that I am not able to import single clips but not multiple clips or folders.
Pop up window gives error message:

This is a serious problem. Somebody from Adobe help please ?

Don't open multiple projects at once: Premiere 2018
Just updated Premiere and I'm seeing a feature that I really disliked about FCP - the fact that you open multiple projects at the same time. I do find this occasionally useful, but not on a daily basis and really it ends up being more confusing and I can't always tell when I've completely closed an old project unless I quit and restart Premiere.
Is there a setting so that I only open one project at a time like the way it used to be?
The way it used to be was perfect for me, but now it would require multiple steps to either start a new project or open a different project if I already have one open.

Premiere Pro CC 2018 re-conforming issues
I've updated to Premiere Pro CC 2018 and found when opening up older projects that PP re-conforms the video clips, but jumbles them up. So the end result is wrongly linked videos clips or wrongly linked audio.
The only workaround for me has been to rename and relink all of the clips on the drive. Basically reteaching PP where all the clips are located. Simply re-linking does not work, I had to rename the clips for PP to pull correctly.
If there is a faster way or fix please let the community know.

When I stop the playhead, audio plays out 5-6 frames past the spot where I hit stop.
So if I'm looking at the audio waveforms, I will hear a word that I can see is actually later in the sequence. And when I hit play from the same spot, I hear the same word again.
Very frustrating,

Artifacts in closed captions' edge
Hi all,
Today I'm trying to use the captions system in Premiere for the first time, and I get these ridiculous "spikes" in my text with many fonts. Some fonts don't exhibit the problem, but the client needs this specific font (Calibri). If you take away the black edge there is no spike, but adding the black edge gives these spikes. Do I really need to remake all my subtitles in AE or something?
Anyone got any ideas? Can you reproduce this? I'm on Windows 10 using the latest version of Premiere.

Premiere CC 2018 issues with the sections (Editing, Color, Titles, etc.)
Hi,
I got a really big issue with the sections in Premiere Pro CC 2018. When I switch from Editing to Color, Color to Editing or sometimes Titles to Editing, the screen goes grey and then nothing happens. I don't know if anyone here has the same issue like me, but it really gets me mad. I'm sure if I went back to the last version, it would be fine. I was wondering if anyone has a solution for me first.

GoPro hero 3+ mp4 - imports only audio not video
I have seen this topic several times but none of the answers provided helps. I am working on Windows 10 with Premiere Pro CC 2018. I imported 4 videos into my project (using both the media browser and drag and drop methods), all come in fine but 1 which only comes in as video. I have played the actual video on my windows media player and it is fine. Not sure why the video is not coming in. I also copied all the files from my external disk to my c drive and that does not help.

slowing down the asset search input box
Is there a way to slow down or put a speed bump in the triggering of the Premiere Pro asset search input box (in the Project panel)? I find that when I type in the characters slowly, say more than a quarter second apart, the search box turns dark and a search immediately runs, with the box losing focus, even though I have more characters to enter. I have to click back into it to enter the rest of the characters. Otherwise, I have to enter the search string very quickly which isn't always possible. This is especially a problem if only one or two characters were entered, so the prematurely-triggered search returns far more results than is desired. If there isn't such a feature, it would be nice to have a preference that delays the search until at least 1 second goes by after a key has been pressed in the box, or has a "go" button to run the search so I first can fully compose it, or (best) just keeps the focus in the box so even if assets have been found, the search can be dynamically refined without clicking back into the entry box. That latter happens on second running of the search, but not the first run (e.g., after you've clicked on an asset), so there is a discrepancy in its functionality.
A variation also could be to not run the search until a user-settable minimum number of characters have been entered.

Extremely Slow Export
To whom this may concern,
I have been struggling with getting Premiere Pro CC to export video files with very simple effects. My export times for a 1:03:05:50 video have been projected as +20 hours or more.
I have tried exporting on different computers (Mac and PC), with similar results each time. I currently am working with the following setup:
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 16GB
Primary Storage: 250GB Sandisk SSD
Secondary Storage: 1TB WD HDD
OS: Windows 10
Version: Adobe CC Premiere Pro 2018
I currently am working with a video clip with these specifications, which I pulled from both Premiere and VLC Media Player:
File Type: .mov
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part10) (avc1)
Resolution: 1280x720
Frame Rate: 59.94
Time: 1:03:05:50
Size: 1.69 GB
The video in question plays easily in Quicktime and VLC by itself. For neatness sake, I've attempted exporting only the video itself and not the opening credit panel I was attempting to insert, and I still got +20 hours of expected wait time.
As of October 28, 2017, I've visited these help pages and attempted these fixes:

I've been attempting to export with the "Match Sequence Settings" option, which brings up these settings:
Format: MPEG Preview
Video Codec: MPEG I-Frame
Resolution: 1280x720
Frame Rate: 59.94
Field Order: Progressive
Aspect: Square Pixel (1.0)
Audio: 44100Hz @ 16-bit
I'm at a loss. Should I be expecting +20 hours of export time with this type of video? Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Timecode Effect missing in the Premiere Pro CC version 12.0.0
I'm trying to make a timecode burn to show a client, but when I add the timecode effect to my clip, only the field symbol shows. Even when I open older sequences with the timecode effect from previous versions, only the field symbol shows.
Any thoughts?
