How to split two overlapping video tracks in Premiere Pro?

Hi,

I am sorry but I really don't know what to do with this. I added another video track (the one which you can see in front) to my project. But they mixed up together with the track I already had there  - the second video track is visible where is originally the black surrounding around the first video. Check the picture. I have no idea what to do with it and I am quite lost. Could you please help me? I didn't do anything special and I haven't experienced this yet. How to split these two video tracks and have just black surrounding around as it was before?  Thanks!

Alpha Channel not supported (12.1)

I am having similar with some Quicktime files. I opened a project I created months ago. All .mov clips that contain alpha channels are now offline and unable to import. I've tried re-importing with different directories, and clearing the cache. Still did not work. I've rolled back to 12.0.1 and it works as expected.

Essential Graphics List view

Hey guys from Adobe.

 

After installing the latest update of Premiere Pro CC 2018, in new Essential Graphics window is not possible to set list view. Is there any way to change it, because it is not practical for me and I think for many other people as well? I use most often my own templates, but now the Essential window shows all content in the same folder and it is very confusing. Favorit (star) icon is not good solution as well, because I still have a lot of own graphics divided to many custom folders. Is it possible to solve it in any way?

Beginner - Moving Video and Audio Tracks

When I drag the linked clip up a video track, want the audio to follow down to the next track.

As of now when I drag the video up a track the audio, although linked and selected, stays on the same track as you see in the pic. I need the audio to drop down to another track as well.

 

Is there a shortcut or something I am missing?

Already posted a bug report but I'm interested to know if anyone else is experiencing these bugs in the new version.

The workspace list order resets to default after every application launch.

The project window search box is inactive.

Premiere 12.1.0 crash by rendering with hardware acceleration

Hy,

i have a big issue since the latest update in premiere pro: the all system crash when rendering with hardware acceleration selected (working well with software only)

Sequence set to Open CL.

Running on Mac  10.13.4 with RX 580 GPU

 

Please help

BRUTAL artifacts created through Media Encoder!

I'm exporting a very large number of videos from Prmiere Pro through Media Encoder and it is producing insane artifacts. It seems if I export directly from Premiere the artifacts are not produced. The source footage comes from a DVX200 but I see it in all sorts of footage from cameras to game capture. I have exported H.264, MP4s, ProRes. All produce these artifacts.

 

I'd simply export files individually but I have over 100 files to export. It's just not realistic. I usually only need to export a single video at a time but this project is massive.

 

I don't know how it can be a hardware issue if exporting from PP directly results in clean videos and ME messes it up. Really kicking my butt and of course I'm fighting a deadline.

Can't install new updates

For some reason in the Creative cloud app when I click update nothing happens to all apps. I even tried to install a new app but still nothing happens. Anybody else have this problem?

Syncing audio keyframes and video segments

Quite new to Premiere.

Im making a "how to" video which contains lots of clip segments, sections that have been sped up and sections where I talk.

I think i've got the video pretty much where I want it and are about to add a background audio track in to fade in and out when I talk. What I'm concerned about is if I add in all the keyframes on the audio and then decide to trim a video clip, will it throw the audio keyframes out of sync and if so is there a way to stop it.

Ctrl double click on Multi-cam sequences stopped working after 12.1 update

As the title says Ctrl double click on Multi-cam sequences to have them open in a timeline (so you can edit clips/audio/assets inside a multi-cam) seems to have stopped working after 12.1 update, Downgrading back to 12.01 everything is fine. Not sure if this is a bug of a new 'Feature' Is anyone else having this issue? Is there another way to crack open Multi-cam sequences (or merged clips) that ins't Ctrl Double Click?

Update 12.1.0. - corrupted png-rendering possibly?

After updating I have several corrupted PNGs, that wont render properly, both in old projects and newly started.

 

Below is an example of a logo, which have gotten a random background attached to it (background is a frame from an imported videofile with something like a solarize effect on it?)

Osmo footage breaking up on export..

Hi

 

Im cutting a package with Sony fs7 footage 25 fps and Osmo footage 50fps.

 

The Sequence is 25 fps 1080p and im working on the latest version of PP.

 

The files are stored locally on my HD.

 

When I go to export, all the Osmo clips in the package are breaking up and distorting. I recently moved over to PC form Mac and have never seen this issue before?

 

 

Any Ideas?

Won't open after update

I received a message this morning (04th April) from Creative Cloud telling me there's an update for Premiere pro which I promptly updated. Now the app won't open. I've tried restarting and I've also un-installed and re-installed the app but it still won't open. The app bounces in the dock and shows the splash screen then quits.

 

Has anyone else had this issue and if so found a fix?

 

I'm running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.3 on a 4GHz Intel Core i7 iMac and the graphics card is an AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4 GB.

Premiere Pro CC 2018 crashes on start

Hi, the update to CC 2018 works fine on all programs except Premiere Pro. When starting, it crashes on splash screen with the error message: "Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working". I cannot see that this is related to the "firewall" problem as all the other programs works well. Anyone have the same problem? or maybe a quick fix for this?

Premiere CC Stuck After Splash Screen

Hello all,

 

I just installed Premiere Pro CC on my computer and launched the program for the first time. The splash screen appears as it should, but then disappears and is replaced by a window stating that it is "Scanning Audio Plug-ins." This window gets stuck at 0% and will not progress. If I click "Cancel," it crashes my computer. I have to force quit the program to avoid this outcome.

 

Other CC programs work correctly on my computer. Premiere is the only one that seems to have issues.

Ripple Edit Tool

     My Ripple Edit tool is not working like its supposed to??

 

Have you a patch or something for that?? I Use a lot if JPGs in my Animatic (Animation Edits)

I want to shorten or Extend a bunch of clips together and drag back Or push forward the edit at the same time. But it doesn't do that, It leaves me with Gaps (When shortening) or Overlapping clips when Extending. It's so annoying. as this is the most common tool I use.

 

MY PP is crashing more also. CC 2018 12.0.1 Build 69 - Can anyone help, please?!!

can't import a JPEG: "video bit depth of this file is unsupported"

Re above error message when attempting to import into a Premiere CS6 project.  I used Media Info to inspect the file's properties as per below. All of the video in my project  is 8bit video. Any help is much appreciated..

Ripple Edit problem

Hello, new to the forum, been using Premier since version 6.5.


I have this problem; i need to cut 15 frames at the end of each scene. I usually use the "Ripple Edit" (B key). I select all the cuts in this way:

and then i cut 15 frames (and automatically the program should cut all the scenes).

 

I used to do this without problem, but then since a couple of mouths i am not able to do this anymore.


This is what i am getting;

anyone is having this problem? am i doing something wrong?

I have i7 7700k 32gb ram and GTX 1070  and enable CUDA in premiere. In render encoding settings is only software. WTF ? my specs is to old or what?

Cube Spin Transition/Effect shows artifacts

Hey guys,

I want to animate the Facebook Logo/Link with the cube spin. When using the cube spin transition I always get these lines that are moving through the image while the transition is happening. This happens on the preview and the rendered Video.

Does someone have a solution for this? I found similar threads but there was no solution either.
