how do i mute a single clip of of audio in a sequence.
is there shortcut to mute a single clip of audio in a sequence? i know i can unlink it and delete the audio or mute the whole audio line in the sequence by selecting M, just looking for a single clip short cut. Thank you in advance!!!

Premiere update - crashing in Color workspace
I update Premiere today. The first few times I entered the Color workspace, everything worked fine.
After 20 minutes of editing in the workspace, Premiere crashed, and every time I have opened it since, everything works until I click on the Color workspace tab, at which point the program freezes and crashed. This happens regardless of the project that I am working on.
I have tried reinstalling Premiere, but it did not help the problem. (I am able to make Lumetri adjustments in the effects panel.)
Is anyone else having this issue?

adjustment layers opacity
whats the story? Sometimes I can fade in an adjustment layer, sometimes not. Is it supported?
Sometimes when the fade fails I can put a mask on the effect in the adjustment layer and fade that it.
But sometimes that doesn't work either.

Dolby Audio Decoder missing after Premiere CC 2018 (V12) update
I just updated to the most recent version of Premiere: CC 2018 from Creative Cloud.
When I opened a project I had been working on earlier today that has some .ac3 tracks on some of the sequences, those tracks are redded out and I now get an error message "Missing Dolby Audio Encoder." I get the same message when I try to import .ac3 files into the updated Audition program.
I have been using Premiere CC for several years, have installed all the updates & never had this problem before.
I have an individual (not Enterprise) Subscription on Windows 7. I ran CC Cleaner Registry check after the install. It cleared up some paths, but didn't fix this issue.
Please help. I am up against a deadline!

Premiere Pro CC 2018 & Red IPP2 Support
Hey everyone,
Noticed a issue with Premiere Pro and the new Red IPP2. In redcineX the IPP2 option when applied looks different than when you match the metadata settings in premiere pro. Is this a result of Premiere Pro not implenting this new IPP2 image pipeline yet? Will a future release of premiere pro address this issue? Thanks!

Low level exception occurred: Lumetri, Red Source Settings, Mask. 6-8x an hour. Severe issue
I have been having significant issues with Premiere Pro. I saw someone in another discussion post their question in this format so I'll give it a shot to see if there is enough info here for someone to help me out
PROBLEM
The issues I get are very inconsistent and confusing. And they all usually ramp up drastically whenever I am using Lumetri to grade. To clarify, I have been having these issues across 20 or so different projects over the past 6 months.
I've gotten these issues (in order of most common and frustrating):
-A low level exception occurred in: Lumetri Color (AEVideoFilter:11)
- This happens ALL the time.
- have to restart premiere thru Task Manager
- Happens when I'm using LUTS installed into my creative folder, or LUTs that I browse for that stay at the same spot on my computer and don't move.
-A low level exception occurred in: RED Source Settings(AEVideoFilter:29)
- This frequently occurs as well
-Exporting errors that stop an entire export
- I forgot what its called but its something like "A low level exception occurred. Unable to Process Frame. Lumetri error..."
- I have to restart premiere several times and every now and then I'll get lucky and my project will actually export all the way thru
-A low level exception occurred in: Mask (AEVideoFilter:15)
-Error Compiling Movie: Unknown Error (when rendering)
-Premiere Pro encountered an error: [D:\Haberdasher\releases\2017.08\PremierePro\UIFramework\Src\EditControl
- I've seen this just twice
I don't usually change anything to fix these issues. I just re-start Premiere. But its getting to the point where I have to do this VERY frequently. 6-8 times an hour when I'm grading. Sometimes I can ignore the errors and continue editing but then premiere will just crash anyways. Then I have to close it from Task ManagerScrolling through the Creative luts that i've installed into my system will cause the Lumetri issue after a couple minutes of scrolling.

FAILED FIX ATTEMPTS
- Switched from GPU Mercury playback to CPU
- Switched RAM from Performance to Memory
- Updated graphics card driver
- Uninstalled Premiere and reinstalled
- Cleared the media cache folders
Could I be having a hardware issue? Why am I constantly unable to edit smoothly? The Lumetri issue is a big deal but the random RED Source Settings errors are super annoying and time-killers as well.

Premiere Pro CC will not launch -- 04-03-18
Installed the new update today an now Premiere will not launch.
- Problem:
- Click on icon for Premeire
- Splash screen comes up then closes and nothing happens
- When I click the icon in the dock, their is a little dot underneath it that blinks (wasnt doing that before I restarted computer and installed latest OS)
- Steps taken:
- Downloaded latest version of Premiere
- Updated OS Software/Restarted Computer
- Uninstalled Premiere - left preferences (not sure if I should have delted those as well)
- Reinstalled Premiere, still nothing
- Computer Specs:
- iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
- Processor 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5
- 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
- AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB
- MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
Current Status: Going crazy as I have a deadline tomorrow morning

All Premiere Pro project files have disappeared from everywhere!
Hello,
I have no idea what to think here. All of a sudden, all of my .pproj files (and auto saves) are missing off my computer. I was working in a project earlier today, even, and that file is gone, too. I thought I may have accidentally saved that file in a different location, and that's when I discovered that every single .pproj file I had saved was missing (dozens of them).
So, some background. I am using Adobe CC 2017. I had .pproj files saved both locally (on my D: drive--Windows) and in Dropbox (which is also synced to a separate folder on the D:drive of my PC). Both of these folders are also backed up by CrashPlan. All .pproj files have disappeared from the local folders, from Dropbox (local and web UI), and CrashPlan backup files. When I open PremierePro, it doesn't show anything under recent files. When I do a search of my computer, none of those missing files come up. They are not in the Recycle (Trash)--of course, as I did not delete them. Nothing else seems to be missing except for these .pproj files (and the associates auto save files). I still have all my After Effects project files (.aep). All the video and audio files that were in the same folders as the Premiere Pro project files are still there. So this definitely seems like the issue is with Premiere Pro.
How in the world did all these files disappear, and is there any way to get them back? I figured having the files backed up locally, through Dropbox, and through CrashPlan would be enough of a contingency plan to prevent the loss of data. However, I have never heard of (or experienced) anything like this before.

Locking video to frame.
Hello,
I am trying to lock a scaled video to frame. I scaled down a video to 80% so I can fit a graphic around the video. I want to move the video to top of the frame while keeping it centered horizontally but I want to make sure that when I move it there is no black on the top but there the video doesn't get cut off by a few pixels. is there a way to move it to top of screen automatically and make sure it cant be moved outside of the view-able frame? Attached is a screen cap of what I am working with to hope you get a better idea of what I am talking about if my prior statements have not been clear enough.

Premiere Pro only imports 0.01 seconds of footage
So recently I have been having a lot of trouble exporting my video out of premiere without it failing every time. Now whenever I try to import a new clip into premiere pro, it only shows 0.01 seconds of video, but seems to know how big the file is, and all the details.

Missing Fonts and Slow Team Project Opening after 12.1 Update
I updated from 12.0.1 to 12.1 today, wanted to make sure XML importing was fixed. But encountered some other odd issues first:
1) Opening a Team Project last saved with 12.0.1 resulted in a 4-5 minute wait before it would open. It has about 1000 project items to load, but this would previously take <30 seconds. Usually more like 15 seconds. This is very odd, but perhaps there's some sort of conversion from 12.0.1 happening in the background.
2) Upon opening, there's a message that says "Invalid Font Family: DIN, replaced with Courier New." Theses fonts were used in a Legacy Title in the project (and many other projects), and when I checked to see if they were still installed, the Mac Font Book correctly shows them. However, in Premiere's Legacy Titler, the DIN font family (sub-variations for Regular, Medium, Light, Bold) is missing. There are two other top level font family options that are new, though - DIN Condensed, DIN Alternate. DIN Alternate looked the most similar to the previous fonts, but there were no variations for Bold, Medium, Light, Regular - it was just DIN Alternate. DIN Condensed was not the right font.
I poked around in Finder and found that the correct DIN fonts were not showing an extension in the Finder level, they were simply DINLig, DINReg, DINMed, etc. No .ttf or .otf extensions. They were in my User/Library/Fonts folder next to other installed fonts that were showing file type extensions. The DIN Alternate and DIN Condensed were in the root/Library/Fonts folder. I don't remember seeing those other options before, so my guess is the new updated added them? Or substituted them with TypeKit versions?
I tried uninstalling the extensionless DIN fonts and adding .ttf and .otf extensions to the files, then reinstalling. However this only made things worse and Font Book refused to install them saying there was something wrong with the file. Once I removed the extensions, they installed just fine. *shrug*
The odd thing is the extensionless DIN fonts worked just fine in Premiere 2017, 2018 (12.0) and 2018 (12.0.1), but this new update has really messed them up.
Any ideas? I'll have to revert to 12.0.1 if I can't figure out the fonts pretty quickly.

Why does this message keep popping up when im about to save a project ive been working?
and then i gett this stupid error saying "Auto Save Error" Cant copy to file C or what ever , check write conditions, never experienced this as much as it keep doing

Bug? with text graphics when transitions applied
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing a strange issue with transitions causing our text to change color/invert. It could be just me being an idiot but it does seem to be some sort of glitch.
I have a title graphic with black text (and nothing else), and on a track below just have a colored box behind the text. Everything is fine until I apply a transition. Once I apply a transition to the end of both the title and the box, the text is fine up until the first frame of the transition, and then all of the sudden it turns white until the end of the clip. I have attached some photos below. Anyone seen anything like this before?
Someone else involved in the project is on the opposite side of the world is experiencing the same issue, so it seems to not be a problem unique to my computer.

Keyboard shortcut for effects preset?
Simple question, searched, can't seem to find an answer.
I created an effects preset, it's now in my "Presets" bin. I want to assign a Keyboard shortcut to it, rather than dragging onto the clip. Is this possible. Thanks much in advance!

Install 12.1 without updating 12.0
I want to use and play with the new version that came out today but am not willing to update over the current version i am using (12.0)
I know in the past I could always choose to install the newest version without "updating" over the current version but now I dont see an option for this?
I never trust the new version until it has been out a bit and I have eased into it with less critical projects (new versions are always a bit buggy at first)
Hopefully I am just missing something obvious? Please advise if I can install the newest version without losing my current (and working fine) version..

Black Gaps Appear between some clips after exporting
So, I'nm working on a small 1 min project. I've processed it out a few times, without issue, each time, changing the cut a little. This last time, on what what I expected to be my final cut, there's gaps between some clips. I went into the timeline to make sure there's no spaces between them and there's not. I even went as far as putting clips on separate layers and overlapping them and I still get gaps. They're super short, but obviously noticeable. Can someone help? This is a paid gig and I'm trying to get an edit in tomorrow.
Side note, I added a grain layer over the top, and when layer is activate for export, you see the grain in between the clips. When I deactivate the grain layer, the gaps are black.

Quick Mask Mode in Premiere? Is it possible?
Hello, I've been trying to replace the sky in one of my shots and the colors are too similar to remove the sky on its own. Additionally, when I go to manually mask the area I want to remove, the "free draw Bezier" is very inaccurate and jumpy causing me to select areas I don't want to select. Even if I did get the free draw bezier to work I wouldn't be able to remove sky that lies between fences and small gaps. I'm wondering if there is a draw tool of some sort like with photoshop's Quick Mask mode, which allows you to refine your selection. None of the youtube videos address what I'm trying to do. I'm really at a dead end here. Please help.

Error while importing PSD files into the Premiere Pro CC.
It was okay when importing Photoshop files into Premiere for the first time. When I make a modification to a layer in Photoshop and it is displayed offline. And when I try to link again, I get a generic error message.
Of course, the file is RGB / 8bit.
