Export Submix Tracks for Multichannel Use?

$

Is there an option to export my Submix Tracks?

For broadcast use I have to put main mix on track 1+2 and IT version on track 3+4.

My workflow is:

creating a submix track of all my music, sfx etc and mix it with one voice over track - thats my master mix...

how can I now get an unmixed version of my submix track on track 3+4 of my export for IT version?

The only way I guess is to export the whole sequence as aiff and reimport!?

I use Premiere CC

two users editing in the same project?

We are using PP CS6 Mac and i would like to know if this is possible. The project is on a server that both users have access to. Is it possible for user A to edit sequence 1 and 2 and user B to edit sequence 3 at the same time?

Never leave CS6. CC pricing sucks, but this is even worse...

It has been discussed many times, the pricing of CC sucks and Europeans get ripped off by this Irish company with all its tax benefits.

But there is worse news. Encore has been scrapped. You can no longer deliver on BDR or DVD if you go to CC.

Adobe has single-handedly decided that Bluray and DVD are almost dead and the future is in delivering to iPhone or i-crap only. So they took away Encore altogether in CC. They have admitted they can withdraw any application from the Cloud when they like and you have to accept that. No recourse, no apologies, no refund, nothing. Take it or leave it.

For me that is EOS. I will continue using CS6 untill I find a good replacement, but CC is not at all interesting without delivery to BDR or DVD. In fact it is a complete turn-off.

Merge Clip using "Audio" function

The merge clip using the audio parameter works occassionally.  I shot dual system with a slate, camera mic on a RED for scratch audio and multiple inputs on a Sound Device 744t.  Some of the clips merged great, but some of the other ones didn't work at all.  Even when there were shots within the same setup but just a different take, some worked and some didn't.  Are there best practices in terms of how to use or configure Premiere Pro to match those clips better?  Any parameters I can use to adjust how it analyzes the clips?

Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working

I get the following error when I try to run Adobe Premiere Pro CC:

AdobePremiereProCC-StoppedWorking.png

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 still works well.  The other CC software I tried also work well (Photoshop, After Effects, Audition, etc)

I tried running it from the start menu or from the .exe

I tried running it normally or as an administrator

I tried updating my ATI video card driver, and quicktime just in case, didn't change anything.

I tried uninstalling it, rebooting, reinstalling it, rebooting, and it still doesn't work.

importing 25fps turns into 12,5fps in PP CC. Help?

$

I have downloaded the Premiere Pro CC and have had some strange problems.  I have imported a film which is 25 fps from my Lumix GH-1 and PPro puts it in as 12,5i fps.  Other films are imported correctly.  When I look at the details of the film outside of PPro it shows 25fps.  I am confused.  Anybody have any idea?  Thanks in advance.

The original is a AVHDC card which I make into .mov using QuickTimePlayer and then import into PPCC.  Other films from other cameras are done the same and everything works correctly with importing.  25fps is 25fps in PPCC.

When I try to use Premiere Pro CC's online help or keyboard help, I get a message that reads "Unable to display online help. Connect to the internet and try again. For more information see, http://www.adobe.com/go/offline_help".

I have confirmed that I am connected to the internet, and all my other non-adobe software is functioning just fine.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

AMD Radeon HD 6990 vs Mercury Playback Engine

$

I just installed an AMD Radeon HD 6990.

I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5

My Mercury Playback Engine "GPU" choice does not show up in Premiere.

I tried the hack.

Nothing.

I see my card is not listed in the http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html list, however older and less powerful models from within its same family are.

First of all, do I need to upgrade to CS6 to even enable Open CL type cards? And if so is there a chance the hack will then work?

And if upgrading is the only Open CL answer - is there a way to upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 without getting involved in the creative cloud kookiness?

Thanks for any and all insight - I simply want to edit footage within Premiere while utilizing my more than adequate GPU.

Premiere Pro CC > Bad GPU-Performance...?

Hi,

I just have testet the new Premiere Pro CC...

Could it be that the GPU-Performace is now totally slow???

I have a 1080i Project, and if I just use a Chromakey (Ultrakey) with activated MercuryEngine (CUDA), the playback stutters extremely!

If I try the same in CS6, everything plays smoothly!

Is this a joke???

So, one more Problem in CC (audio incomplete)

With this is my 3rd post about "bugs" or "problem" in CC, is really shame...

Looks like Premiere CC is so hungry that is "eating" my audio in each clip, about 1-2  seconds per clip, commonly at the end of each clip. You may say "but is not big deal", but to me is, I need the whole audio of each clip (you know some phrases are incomplete), check in the next image, first in CC the red circles is the audio that CC is eating, and the second one is in CS6 works perfectly.

What's happened with Adobe?, I never been so disappointed!

How do I import closed captions in Premiere Pro CC?

$

Now that Premiere Pro has close captioning we can import text as a layer in the timeline.

However, it only takes certain types of files. In the top video of this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/closed-captioning.html

Jeff Sengstack says that Premiere can accept 4 different file types for close captioning but he only mentions Scenarist.

I have my close captioning file in a .txt format but Premiere will not allow that type of file. So I have a couple questions:

1. What are the other file types that can be imported for close captioning?

2. Is there a way to convert a .txt file to a Scenarist format (scc)?

My workaround for 'lost' preview files in Premiere

$

So you render preview files in Premiere and the next time you launch the program you're met with red bars in the sequence - indicating the need to re-render (even though those render files are still sitting on the hard drive right where Premiere last left them). While Adobe is purportedly aware of the issue, it's still pretty annoying.

I found a potential workaround which, so far, seems to work - at least for me.

Premiere seems to lose track of rendered preview files on the sequence that was displayed at the time the project was saved before exiting. When Premiere is re-launched, by default, it opens to the last displayed/saved sequence.

So here's what to do, whether your project consists of a single sequence or several.

1) Create an empty sequence. Leave it empty. Rename it if you like ("Select me before saving and exiting") - or not.

2) Work in your other sequence(s). Render your previews as needed.

3) Before exiting Premiere (this is the important part) switch to the empty sequence and save the project. Then exit.

4) The next time you start Premiere: a) Select the project, b) Wait till all media is loaded (Premiere reports this at bottom). It will open to the empty sequence. When you switch to the work sequences, you should have green bars where the previews were previously rendered.

Try it and let me know if this works for you.

Premiere & Prelude not recognizing C300 file structure

$

I'm working with some new footage in Premiere CC shot on a C300. I have the footage broken down into a folder for each card we shot. Inside each folder is an entire clean copy of the card. If I dig all the way down to each .mxf I can see them and play back (with some issues), but I'm unable to get Premiere to recognize it as a card of footage at any level. However footage shot on our X105 (in the same format as the c300, 30p at 50mb) does show up and, as far as I can tell, they're both the same structure. Any reason why this is happening? I know I can use the Canon XF utility to pull out all the .mxf files and make a clean copy as a workaround, but CC is supposed to support the C300 file structure, isn't it?

Replacing audio in mp4 movie clip

$

For two days now I'm trying to find a way to easily replace audio track in my mp4 movie clip without re-encoding the whole thing. I found an answer how to do it in QuickTime Pro and some other software, but no luck with Adobe Premiere Pro or Audition or other Adobe CS6 Production Premium software which I own. Can somebody please tell me how to do it? Is it even possible

Thanks in advance.
