Capturing video from VHS to edit and convert to digital media. Using Blackmagic Thunderbolt Extreme interface. Video is uncompressed when captured. Don't know how much space I need on HD. I have a dozen tapes ranging from 60-90 minutes. Need to capture and return tapes prior to taking time to edit. (Local event, not pirating).

Multicam not working after restart/update
This morning I edited a multicam sequence (two cameras) and got it like I wanted. I then exited Premiere Pro and saw that there was a 'bug fix' update from "the Cloud". I installed the update.
Now, when I open my project and turn on Multi Camera (on the multicam sequence), the multi-cam clip is shown with the cuts I made, but as the play head gets the each cut, the video I see in the monitor starts at the beginning of the sequence. It plays until I get to the next cut, then then video I see starts over again from the beginning - to the next cut and so on and so on.
The audio, from what I can tell is uneffected in that it seems to be playing correctly.
I did NOT change the monitor to Composite before I shut down PP- I left the multicam view on. That might cause issues - though it shouldn't.
Anyone with previous and like issues, or Adobe, please chime in.

I am not saying the recent update caused the problem, I did NOT open the project again before I installed the update. However, if there's a way to back out this mornings update, that might be worth a try. . . I don't know if that's possible.

Cannot import FCP7 XML in PP CC
I tried to import an FCP7 project (not sequence) XML into PP CC. It starts to import, then a white window pops up and it gets stuck.

When I add the Warp, the clip turns black, and I can't analyze it. How should I go about stabilzing the clip?

Which cameras are compatible with the capture feature in adobe premiere pro?
My son is making stop motion videos and wants to be able to use the capture feature on adobe premiere pro where you connect your camera via USB and can capture images on your computer through your camera. I'm looking into buying him a camera and am trying to find a list of digital cameras that are compatible with this feature, he has a small fuji camera now that will not let him do so.

GoPro CineForm Files Incorrect Duration?
Some users have encountered situations, where GoPro Cineform files have a truncated Duration.

A soon as Premiere Pro starts to open I get an error message stating that Adobe Premieire Pro CC has stopped working. Do I need to reinstall the program? Premiere Pro CS6 works fine!

Mass Conversion, FCP 7 to XML
We're swithching from FCP 7 to Premiere Pro where I work. We have a about 1,000 FCP projects that we would like to be able to access, if the need arises, using Premiere. I know it's possible to export as XML files but I've only found ways of doing one file at a time. Is it possible to convert many at once? Is there a piece of software that could automate this process? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Loudness Meter
Has anyone found a way to bring up the new Loudness Meter? Surprisingly, there's nothing in the PDF help file about this. I found the effect in the Track Mixer, but can't find any method of calling up the actual meter.

I have no audio indication on screen
Appears to be capturing but nothing on meters.
Monitor audio is okay.
Using Blackmagic Intensity Extreme with Thunderbolt
Worked fine yesterday, changed from uncompressed to NTSC DV and plugged in remote drive today.

Getting PP CS6 back after installing CC
I jumped the gun too soon. I deleted PP CS6 and installed PP CC, only to find that the school where I teach editing will likely not have PP CC installed in time for the fall semester. I need to get PP CS6 back so I can learn it to teach!
Anyone know if that's possible?

Possible to capture with separate audio input?
I'd like to move from using a tricaster to capturing live audio and video directly into premiere. I understand how to capture video, but my question is about using a different audio input for the video, rather than camera audio. i have a microphone connected to the computer through a USB XLR adapter box, and that's the mic i'd like to use for the video i'm capturing. is there any way to do this with premiere, or will i have to record that audio track separately, then bring it into premiere, sync it, etc? it would be great to be able to do this all at once.

m2ts file in original transfer location syncs audio fine, copied to new location, it doesn't.
I moved the entire folder for the m2ts file in question from the storage drive to which I originally copied it (from the SD card) to the drive where my active project's video files. my working files, are located.
When playing back the copied file in my source monitor before or after import, or on my timeline, the audio appears to lose sync. Upon careful listening, however, it appears there are actual jumps in the audio as if someone randomly ripple edited the audio.. A total of about five minutes of audio is missing.
If I play the file from it's original location It's ot a problem.
Both files regardless of location, however, play fine in VLC (VideoLAN).
Any insight into why this is happening and how to fix it?
Again, I am copying the entire folder and it's contents, all the files related to the clip.

Will this folder structure work for offline/online.
Lumix Rail Pass transfers > Offline Online 1 > Identical subfolders and file names (with source files)
> Offline Online 2 > Identical subfolders and file names (with proxy files)
All I would need to do is swap the number 1 and 2 of the folders when the time comes, yes?

Premiere Workflow Final Product Quality Question - General
Clarification: This is just a general workflow question regardless of hardware/software/cpu/gpu. I'm also not asking about rendering times - just how the final product looks.
Do any one of the following 3 workflow methods have any bearing on the "quality" or "look/feel" of the final output of a project.
Specific effects are named in my examples just for the heck of it - the root of my question is if any given workflow with any given effects applied affects the quality of the final export/render.
#1) Raw Clip => Apply Sharpness => Apply Levels => Apply Three-Way CC => Export final product.
#2) Raw Clip => Apply Sharpness => Export Clip => Import Clip => Apply Levels => Export Clip => Import Clip => Apply Three-Way CC => Export final product.
#3) Raw Clip (sequence 1) => Apply Sharpness => Create sequence 2 and drag sequence 1 onto it => Apply Levels to sequence 2 => Create sequence 3 and drag sequence 2 onto it => apply Three-Way CC to sequence 3 => Export sequence 3 as final product.
