Adobe Premiere CC Crashes When Selecting Multiple Clips
This project was already derailed by multicam, now that I've got my assembly edit ready to go, I've discovered a new show-stopper: Premiere Pro CC crashes when I select multiple clips on the timeline. I can't select more than 3 clips at a time, or the entire program comes crashing to it's knees. Anyone else experiencing something like this? Can anyone else reproduce this behavior?
Here's a video of the experience:
Any word on an update?

Is there an XAVC sequence setting (that I'm missing?)
Working in Premiere Pro CC. Just received Sony F5 footage shot in Xavc & 4k - camera can shoot both formats simultaneously. Earlier this month I downloaded Sony's 4k plugin PPro 6. I re-installed it in PPro CC. In PPro CC I can see a folder of Sony Raw sequence settings, along with all the other Sony "legacy" codecs. When I pull in my 4k footage and use the raw sequence setting, all is as it should be. However, I'm not seeing a sequence setting for Xavc footage. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
GG
Merging between two image with control points? Novice request
Dear all,
I have seen a tutorial which described exactly what I want to acheive, but cannot for the life of me remeber what is was called or how to do it.
Basically I have two map images which I want to put in a short film. At the transition between the images, instead of simply fading into one image I want them to "flow" into the next image.
The tutorial I watched used Premiere Pro and "control points" that matched between the two images showing where objects had moved too.
Am I barking up the wrong tree? I will happily answer questions to attempt to describe this better. Apologies for the vague nature of the topic.

importing keyboard shortcuts from Premiere Pro CS6 to Premiere Pro CC
Is there a way to import keyboard settings from cs6 into cc?
Odd ProRes sequence set-up behavior in Premiere Pro CC
When I create a new sequence by dragging a ProRes HQ file onto New Item icon, it creates a DNxHD sequence. My ProRes HQ footage is captured by the Blackmagic Shuttle2 recorder, and MediaInfo verifies it is ProRes. Yet the sequence settings in Premiere Pro CC show:
Editing Mode: DNX 145 1080i
Video Previews box:
Preview File Format: DNX 145 1080i 59.94
Codec: DNxHD
I am on a Mac with Quicktime 7 installed. There is no problem ingesting and importing the ProRes HQ camera video files into Premiere Pro. I am just not seeing a ProRes sequence being created. Is there something else I should test for?
Thanks.
Importing files from DVD
I have a DVD with video files that was authored with a menu in Encore cs5. I lost the masters to the videos and all I have is the DVD. I want to import the video files in PP CS5, edit them and export them in 1280x720 format. How do I do this without losing quality? PLease provide steps. I am using Windows 7 Pro.

PPro cs 6.0.2 Export to Tape Dropped Frames
My specs are in my profile pic (pending approval). I just upgraded to PP cs6 and have an odd thing happening. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have an explanation?
Whenever I output to tape (FireWire to Panasonic AJ-D250, DVC Pro), I get dropped frames. Anywhere from 2-30 but I only get them in the first five seconds or so. After that I don't think it drops a darn thing. I don't hear or see any stutters in my output as of yet. I usually start with five seconds of black so I really don't care if that has drops. This is more of an oddity at this point.
What I've tried, each case the timeline was fully rendered:
- Output from a different drive (single 7200 SATA)
- Creating a single media file and outputting that
- Outputting NOTHING (put something in the timeline, increase the work area, delete the instance)
- Clean Cache & delete prefs and retry the above
I think I forgot something else but that is my list.
I reinstalled PP cs 5.5 and tried an output from that. All was golden...no drops and smooth playing.
I'm playing back NTSC video off a 5TB RAID drive, it's not like I'm trying to play 1080i off a memory card or anything.
So that's what I've got going. Like I said, an oddity. The moment this starts to hinder the important stuff, the stuff that goes on air or in presentations, then I'm going to be a little more upset.
Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Control surface support
This question was posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/control-surface-support.html
Can I Automate a Transition?
So this is what the client wants me to do on every cut in Premiere CS5: Fade to black #1 - pause for 1/2 seconds - fade from black #2. For a while, i was just doing this manually, but now that they're going to do more like this...
Is there a way I can automate this? Or a way I can add/insert a custom thingy on every cut that auto dips/pauses/fades up?
Any help appreciated!
Camtasia Studio & CC Premiere Pro
June 28, 2013
Since my PC laptop can't run Premiere Pro, I'm building a PC desktop which can. In the meantime, I'll have to use Camtasia Studio 8.1.
Are there any cautions about creating CS files which will eventually be used in CC PP? Thanks.
Adobe Help Manager Updates – CS6 and CC – wrong versions.
Ok I have calmed down a bit now. Adobe Help Manger (see image below) informed me that there were updates to the PDF’s.
So I download two of them, AME and Premiere. I checked the Premiere PDF and saw that it referred to CC. I don't have CC, I use CS6 and that’s the one I want help for, not CC. Maybe Adobe doesn't think that this is a problem. But If I'm looking for help on a particular topic and I find it listed in the PDF, it could well be a feature that’s in CC and not in CS6. For example, Lumetri is in CC and not in CS6. Its no good me looking through a help file only to find that the help does not apply to the version I am using!
Fortunately (and also unfortunately) I did a complete system backup in April, so I located the old PDF’s on the backup. Unfortunately some of them are many months old and I know there have been a few recent updates to the CS6 PDF’s between April and now, before the PDF’s were updated with CC info.
From the image below,
you can see that I actually downloaded 4 PDF’s that reference to CC (I added the _CC to the PDF’s listed here) so If anyone can tell me where I can download the latest CS6 versions of the PDF’s, I'd be very grateful.
Note to Adobe – Please make sure that when updates are sent out, that they actually correspond to the versions of software which are in use (or keep the old PDF versions safe somewhere.)
Can I downgrade a project file from CC to CS6 and get back to editing.
I started a project in Premiere Pro CC, in hopes that the program would do what I needed and that bugs would be at a minimum. Perhaps I could even participate in these forums to help make Premiere better by offering up my beta testing insights to the community. Now, after having paid my tithe in time to Adobe and having experienced several issues, a few crashes and a show-stopping issue (either a Multi-cam issue or an AVCHD spanning issue; I'm not sure), I'm ready to humble my appetite for the bleeding-edge technology and go back to CS6 so I can simply finish my project and pay the bills.
The new CC features are and/or will be AWESOME when the kinks are all worked out. In the mean time, how can I revert my CC project file back to a CS6 project file?
Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
Okay,
So I've switched to the new Premiere Pro CC and now my audio drops out during playback. Doesn't matter if it's an aiff, mp3, whatever. I never had this problem with Premiere Pro CS6. All files are saved to an XServe Network on OS 10.8.4. I'll have to remain using Premiere CS6 for the time being.
Also, just tested this out. I had a TIFF sequence playing with this audio. It did NOT like that. I can play the audio by itself just fine. So it seems to be a problem with playing the video file WITH the audio.
Mass Conversion, FCP 7 to XML
We're swithching from FCP 7 to Premiere Pro where I work. We have a about 1,000 FCP projects that we would like to be able to access, if the need arises, using Premiere. I know it's possible to export as XML files but I've only found ways of doing one file at a time. Is it possible to convert many at once? Is there a piece of software that could automate this process? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Fast color correction effect is very slow in Premiere CC
I have been working on the new premiere cc and the color correction effect is very slow when I make color adjustments on the wheel anyone else having this issue???
Multi-camera timeline edits all messed up
Sometimes when I reopen a project, the edits I made using Premiere CC's new multi-camera sync and editing tools are all out of whack. Toward the second half of my edits they will start switching out with shots that weren't even the same layer or camera... It has happened twice to me so far.
I merge clips, sync, create the timeline from sequence, do some multi-camera editing, and then go back and make adjustments to the timeline because some clips are out of whack. Everything seems to work fine and then all of a sudden it's all messed up!
Does this happen to anyone else?
Side note: Don't try to adjust the "speed/duration" of an edit on a multi-camera timeline, it crashes
Help Me Understand Audio Channels, Mixing, Stereo, Mono, etc?
OK, so I'm not sure I titled this thread correctly. I'm looking at my timeline, scratching my head, wondering why I don't hear one of my cameras' audio in this Multi-camera Source Sequence. I hear all tracks, except for the one I've highlighted in the screen capture below.
You can see that I'm not Soloing or Muting anything. I can hear the camera (left and right) above this camera, and I can hear the dual-sound synced recorders on A5 and A6. What gives with A3 and A4?
Can white background be stripped out like green screen?
Just wondering...Cause I might have to do this, if it is at all possible.
In Premiere Pro CC (7) TL becomes sticky in multi camera sequense
In Premiere pro CC (7) the TL becomes sticky in multi camera sequense, EG; play will not stop and selection of a different camera is delayed resulting in incorrectly positioned cut points, rendering Premiere Pro CC usless for Multi camera editing.
This problem did not exist in Premiere Pro CS6.
