Render selection yellow clips

$

Quick question I can't seem to find a solid answer.  In the past Premiere Pr CC 2012 maybe I can't remember its been awhile, render selection worked on yellow clips.  Has this been removed?

I can't render yellow cips. if I place in and out marks and (sequence, render in/out ) it works. however that is time consuming especially with large edits

I can render Red clips with render selection.

so to reiterate did they remove render selection for yellow clips.?

I'd much rather render a yellow 4k clips that plays back choppy on my machine with a simple click. or short cut rather then setting in and outs and then rendering.

thanks for all the help

Having playback issues.

Alright, so I've been really excited to get started on editing some drone footage from my Phantom 4. I'm shooting my Phantom 4 at 3840x2160 at 30fps and I believe I have my sequence settings set correctly to get myself started. As soon as I drop a clip into my timeline and goto playback the video, it is unbelievably laggy and nearly impossible to edit. Even after dropping the playback resolution to 1/8 of the quality. I've previously looked on Youtube and through some of the forums for why my playback is so laggy, and cannot get this problem resolved.

I'm running on a Macbook Pro 13-inch Retina Late 2013, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, with 16GB of Memory and the built-in IIntel Iris 1536 MB graphics card as well.

These are the sequence settings after dragging a clip in. If someone could please give me a hand that would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Unjustified subscription charge, Support chat inactive!

I have been charged for another month's subscription for Premiere in spite of cancelling my membership before the month ended. It is impossible to contact Customer Support as clicking the Chat contact option results in absolutely nothing happening. Unacceptable on both counts. Adobe is about to lose me to Avid for my next project.

No playback whatsoever, though play button turns to stop button

I'm on Windows 7. This started on version 2015.3. Everything was working fine, then I moved the playhead back a few seconds to watch an edit I just made and when I hit space to play the timeline did not play. I've also tried clicking the play button. I've also tried jogging with J, K, and L. None of these commands do anything. I've encountered this problem before for years now, through many different computers/operating systems/premiere versions/etc. I've usually been able to solve this by either changing the playback quality back (either up or down), restarting premiere, sometimes restarting the computer, or closing out the sequence and re-opening it.

Today none of that worked. Today I also tried:

- Updating to the latest version of premiere (From 2015.3 to 2017)

- Trying older builds

- Turning off and even completely removing anti-virus

- Cleaning and deleting cache

- Changing cache destination

- Updating my GPU driver

- Restarting my computer after every one of these steps

- Changing audio playback settings (arbitrarily trying combinations)

- Changing video playback settings (arbitrarily trying combinations)

- Copying and pasting sequence into a new project

And the problem is with every project I open. The problem isn't just with the timeline, it's all playback in general. Also an interesting note is that when I want to close Premiere, whether I want to X it out or click File>Quit, the project closes, but Premiere stays open with a large empty gray screen with the toolbar at the top. From there I can click X or File>Quit AGAIN to close it. I've waited minutes for it to close on it's own, but it won't-- so the second click is needed.

Any suggestions?

hi

i'm new to Premiere. been studying this for just a week or two i think and i have already made my first project -a cover music video with multiple camera shots and auto synced audio (i have quite some experiene with manual syncing starting in january 2016 when i began making my cover videos and i have no computer and i do everything on my phone using cyberlink powerdirector mobile. i am a keyboardist and my keyboard can record my performance so what happense here is that while my camera is rolling, im also recording my performance.

Now, my second project is much more challenging. i'm still doing a cover of a song and here's what i want to happen:

i took a video of my cover in 2 angles-a full body shot and a keyboard close up shot where you can only see my hands. i taped a 3rd video for the adlib part where im using a different sound from my instrument. now what i want to happen (if this is possible) is on the adlib part of the song i want to make a split screen so that i can use that adlib video i have created, and after the adlib, the sequence resizes back to its original sinze. is that even possible? or not possible when a sequence is created? please help.

replies are greatly appreciated.

Difference between Annual Plan, paid monthly, and Monthly plan?

$

Hi, I am trying to figure out the difference between the Annual Plan (paid monthly) and the monthly plan, for purchasing a single app (Premiere)

It sounds like the monthly plan doesn't require a minimum subscription, but other forums seem to suggest that you have to sign up for a year.

If I sign up to a monthly plan, can I come and go as I need to? Can I stop paying if there are a few months where I do not need to use the program?

Thanks!

Moving Premier Pro CS6 to a new Computer running Windows 7

Hi Everybody.

I would just like to know how to move a legitimate copy of Premier Pro CS6 form my old to my new Computer (a Christmas present from me to me).

My old computer was a Core 2 Quad processor running at 3.0 MHz with 2 HDD's and was 8 years old.  My new one has an i-7 processor,  2 SSD's and an external HD as a scratch disk.

Do I have to deactivate it on my old one first or is it just a case of installing it as new on my updated PC?

I have the serial number and everything.

Pete Luton

Premiere Pro CS6: Wrong version of Media Encoder started

Hello community,

I have the following problem: when I try to export my video from Premiere Pro CS6 by clicking on the button for the media encoder queue,

the wrong version of the media encoder is started. So instead of activating the 64bit version the 32bit version comes up.

Both media encoder versions are installed on my PC, but in different folders. To me it looks like Premiere Pro is looking in the wrong

folder when starting media encoder.

Any ideas?

Interpret Footage settings (frame rate) and proxy files?

$

TL;DR

- want to create proxy files for 120 fps footage and interpret it as 29.97 fps, but interpret footage settings seem to get messed up or completely ignored when proxy footage is toggled on

Problem:

  • Currently running CC 2015.4
  • recently started creating proxies via the method newly introduced for CC 2015.3 -> Adobe Premiere Pro Help | Ingest and Proxy Workflow in Premiere Pro CC 2015.3
  • Been running into difficulties when working with footage shot at 120 fps:
    • import 120 fps media
    • create 120 fps proxy
    • change interpret footage settings to read frame rate as 29.97 fps (to work directly with slow motion)
    • Only original media runs at 29.97 fps
      • when proxy is toggled, still runs at 120 fps

Attempt at troubleshooting:

  • I tried changing the interpret footage settings BEFORE creating proxies
    • import 120 fps media
    • interpret footage > frame rate change to 29.97 fps

Screen Shot 2016-08-10 at 12.53.19 PM.png

    • create proxy

Screen Shot 2016-08-10 at 12.53.39 PM.png

      • while encoding, proxy media is still created at 120 fps (see screenshot, note how it's still encoding at 120 fps)

Screen Shot 2016-08-10 at 12.29.27 PM.png

      • when proxy is toggled, the video plays back at 120 fps (regular speed), but audio plays at 29.97 (slow-motion)
        • this results in a file that has a total duration of the slow-motion audio.
        • but because the video plays back at regular speed, it just adds a frame hold at the end of the clip, which lasts until the slow-motion audio is finished.

I'm at a loss. Any idea how I can go about creating proxy footage for 120 fps footage that I can interpret as 29.97 fps without any issues? I just want to edit slow-motion proxy footage without having to change the speed/duration settings of each individual clip.

Crashes running Premiere Pro on 2016 MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro 460

Premiere has been my editing app for 3+ years. All my work has been done using MacBook Pro laptops. In November 2016  I bought a 15" MacBook Pro with the Radeon Pro 460 graphics card. Almost immediately I started having crashes using Premiere requiring a reboot of the computer. Apple had me do some resets - Pram and something else and it settled down for a short while, but then continued to crash, ending up crashing every time I played a clip. When the the computer crashed I got the green checkerboard freeze with red flashes. The computer was replaced by Apple at the end of December. Now the same crashes have started to happen on the new machine. I have contacted Apple and Adobe. Apple has made no suggestions other than to say “Ask adobe”. Adobe had me reinstall the app, but it is still crashing. The new computer has crashed 4 times now during 5 hours of work. When I got the first machine in November I did a fresh install. I have little else installed on the machine other than the essential Creative Cloud apps and no 3rd party apps or LUTs. I did migrate to the replacement machine. It seems that I will be forced to return to my 3 year old MacBook Pro which works just fine using the latest OS and Creative Cloud apps. This new MBP is going back and it's unlikely I will buy another until the issue is resolved. Adobe Case # 0188526716

Premiere Pro 2017- Copy and Paste crash

$

My Premiere Pro crashes when I paste something. I'd say I have a 5% chance of my app crashing, and as I'm doing a bit of pasting at the moment I'd say I get a crash within 20 minutes of working. When the app crashes, it attempts to make a recover file. But when I try opening the recover file it gives me a "This file is corrupt and you cannot open it" type message, rendering my last 20 minutes completely wasted.

I'm just curious if anyone has run into this and if they have found a work around. Thanks!

Premiere causing flashing screen on Windows 10 (CC 2017)

Hello, this is my first time posting on the Adobe forums so bear with me.

I've seen scant mention of this issue online but hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction. I've been having this issue for a few months, it comes and goes at random. During a session, the entire laptop screen will start to flash on and off. It only seems to happen with Premiere, and usually the flashing goes away once the programme has been shut down. In this video below you can see the effect, and it still happens even if I'm only using the laptop and not an additional screen. I've tried reinstalling all the drivers but to no avail.

Hi im kinda new to Premiere Pro

I try to learn simply by creating what I see so recently I stepped on an AMV ( Animated music video)

from a guy who used Sony Vegas to make it happen my question is how to make a transition like he does in 0:14 twice till 0:18

( AMV - LEVI ACKERMAN [Shingeki no Kyojin] - YouTube here is the video)

I mean when I do it I see the boarder of my Clips, basically the end of the square so u clearly see where it ends and where it begins.

He made it look so cool as if u re turning a page without seing that its the paper. Maybe the blur helps somehow he is usin it but even when I blur the scene u still see the end of the squareboarder and I can not drop that effect onto a transition any ideas or have I been missing on something

Pls help me

I use Plays.tv as recording program, and if i import the file it sets a 5sec empty audio after the audio clip, which makes it desynchron..

I tried to change the project settings to the correct formats bitrates ectr, doesnt change anything at all..

First of all, my clips/records are not broken, if i play them in media player its completely fine.

Only problem is that PPro adds that clear audio at the end of the timeline, no idea why maybe it speeds up something PLZ help

Exporting .mov in CC2015 without quicktime player on PC

Two different video tracks-same MP4

$

I have a 45 minute webcast that was sent to me as an MP4. It is of two people speaking over various PPT slides. Video was recorded at 14 FPS. Now, when I play it using Windows Media player I see one set of slides-which in fact, should be the correct set of slides. But,....when I play the MP4 in PPro 2017 I see a different set of slides and video track that come in at about the 15:00 mark. Audio is identical in both playback apps-only the video is different.

This is driving me nuts. How in the world is this possible?

Any suggestions/advice or possible solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi all.

I'm a hobbyist photographer and use Lightroom and Photoshop heavily.  My HP HDX16 is tired and needs to be replaced.  I'm looking to get into editing all my home movies that no one can watch because they aren't organized and lots of short clips so I am dipping my feet into Premiere Pro and some After Effects.  I don't have 4k video yet, but I'm sure it will come in the future.  I was considering this machine:

Acer Predator 17 G5-793-72AU 17.3" Gaming Laptop Computer - Black; Intel Core i7-6700HQ Processor 2.6GHz; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 VR Ready; 16GB RAM; 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD  Full HD IPS LED-backlit LCD 1920 x 1080

this machine can be upgraded to 64 gb or Ramm if needed for the future.

I also just found something a few hundred cheaper:

HP ENVY 17-s143cl 17t Touchscreen Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7-7500U (2.7 GHz, up to 3.5 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 4 MB cache, 2 cores) -

NVIDIA GeForce 940M 4GB Graphics - 1080p; 16 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)

i'm leaning toward the Predator for future proofing but what would you do?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for fixing Adobe Premiere Pro 2017!

$

The last version of Premiere Pro I was able to run was 2015, after that with 2015.3 and 2016, no dice! I would just get the error, "Could not find any capable video play module. Please update your video display drivers and start again." I got 2015 to run by changing some permissions on my MacPro and have never changed my display card as it is up to date with OSX 10.11.2.

So without much hope I downloaded Premiere Pro 2017 and was very surprised when it ran perfectly as did After Effects and all the other 2017 programs.  I've changed nothing in my hardware or software so it has to be that Adobe fixed whatever was causing the other versions to not run.

Thanks!  I hope you keep up the good track record you've started with 2017.

Steve
