Premiere crashes whenever I open Windows Explorer.

Whenever I'm in Premiere trying to import using windows explorer by double clicking import or whenever I go to export and change the name/location Premiere just crashes. A windows trouble shooter box comes up and then says close program. Thats it, no errors, nothing.

 

It doesn't happen when I start a new project until after I've imported the initial set of footage, every time after that it crashes.

 

Happens on all project doesn't matter what footage I'm using.

 

Need desperate help since importing and exporting are literally the most vital parts of premiere.

 

 

Specs:

 

- Windows 10 Pro

- Intel i7 4770k

- 32gb Corsair LP RAM

- Nvidia GTX 780ti - drivers updated

Sound inconsistent

I bought the adobe creative suite 6 master collection. It's been brilliant until now that I've had a new computer built for me on windows 10. The problem now is unless the sound builds on the timeline it won't play. It can take ages to build the sound and I work with multiple files. Unless someone has an answer I'm about to delete it from this computer and go back to windows 7 and my old laptop that works. WTF.

Vertical scroll doesn't work properly

Hello

 

The timeline vertical scrolling doesn't work very well. When I hover the mouse on the video timeline sometimes the vertical scrolling works, sometimes the audio timeline scroll vertically but not the video (while the mouse hovers the video) and vice versa and sometimes no scrolling happens at all.

 

Working without scrolling is impossible, so what can i do?

how to avoid the cropping done when nesting

Hi all,

 

so i'm doing a drawn animation using photoshop files, and i've been alternating between three almost-identical images, to create some movement with what would be a static object otherwise.

 

to make things easier for myself, i have been nesting these three similar images in premiere.

 

but now I want to do a zoom out from one of these nested images, but when i nest the images they then crop to the borders of the composition. How do I avoid this?

 

i've attached some images of what i'm describing if that helps, and just to reiterate, there are three very similar images of the head.

How can I merge two layers that have the same background?

Essentially I have myself walking on a moving sidewalk, and I want to basically have me following myself. Seeing as the background is the same throughout the clip, is there any way to merge the layers?

 

The closest I've been able to get it has been putting one clip over the other on the timeline, and setting the top clip's opacity mode to Darken, but this leaves me without a face and hands in both clips. Any ideas?

Can't start Premiere Pro CC anymore

I can't start Premiere Pro anymore. When I try to start the programm I see the loading window with the featured photo and right after that I get an error message that says: "Adobe Premiere Pro doesn't work anymore." I can only choose "close programm"

 

My Premiere Pro Version is CC 2017 (but I also tried it with 2015, but that stil gave me the same error.)

I'm using a Win10 PC.

I got the newest grafic software for my nvidia grafic card. I already reinstalled it to make sure it's the newest version.

 

Also tried to deinstall and reinstall Premiere Pro several times but nothing seems to work.

 

Has anyone ever had the same error and can help me to fix it?

Premier Pro won't launch on MacOS Sierra

Hi,

 

I only recently updated my mac to MacOS sierra

Recently I installed CC my paid apps open fine, Premier I have installed the trial version.

When I open the application the splash screen opens- runs through and then everything disappears and the program does not launch.

I have changed the permissions, uninstalled and reinstalled I have tried all the tips I have seen in the forum and nothing seems to be working.

 

Please help, I need to use the program for an assignment.

Move clip between track keeping time

Hi everyone

 

I look for a shortcut I used to use on Final Cut pro 7.

 

When I moved a clip on a different track I hold SHIFT and the clip was forced to keep the same time on the new track.

Do you have any idea how to do that on Premiere Pro ?

Clip exports as sped up

In the timeline, everything looks fine but when I go to export through Media Encoder certain clips are extremely sped up while the audio is normal. I recorded the footage on a Cannon Vixia HF R40. I have tried exporting as H.264, Match Source, Youtube Presets, Vimeo presets, HD 1080p 19.97 and they all produce the same result. It seems as if it is a bug that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't because I have done many videos with these exact parameters that ended up fine but I am now on my export attempt 15 and nothing has changed. I previously asked this question and using the Youtube Preset worked but that's not doing it anymore. Any ideas?

same files, different type?

The actual premiere file is from a different computer but when I try to import the same video clip that needs to be located it says that the type is different, is there any way I can import this clip that "does not math the original file's type" or resolution to this?

Hallo muss gestehen das ich ganz neu in Sachen Premiere bin und schneide nur kleine Videos und wollte jetzt aber mal eine Animation einfügen habe mal bei google und Youtube geguckt das was ich suche nennt sich Call Outs.

Gibt es hier ein Plug in oder so ? wo ich einfach nur das Call Out auf die stelle im Video ziehen muss wo es hin gehört?

The only options on dropdown are AAC, Dolby and MPEG. Any way??

Audio out of sync AFTER importing

Hello, how are you?

 

I've been searching for a solution for a while, but I can't seen to find any.

 

The thing is... I've been capturing some gameplay footage, with files that last an hour or even more.

When I watch the files in any player (Windows Media Player, VLC, Media Player Classic) they play fine, the audio and the video seems to be on sync and OK.

But after I import to Adobe Premiere, it just gets out of sync. Even when I watch in the Source Monitor, before dragging to the timeline.

It looks like there is a problem when conforming the audio.

But even the time duration is different from the original, there is some frames or even seconds of difference inside Premiere.

And this happens with different codecs, AVI (from FRAPS), H.264 (with AAC audio and MP3)...

 

I've tried cleaning the cache, deleting the software and reinstalling again, converting - everything.

 

Some are saying this is a recurrent bug on Adobe Premiere. Isn't there any fix or something that I could do?

 

It's really strange that the problems only occur AFTER importing. Outside of Premiere is fine, so there is no problem with the capture, right?

 

I would really appreciate if someone helps me. Thanks a lot!

 

 

PS: I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.

12 GB RAM

3 Bugs with Premiere Pro CC 2017 dynamic linking to audition/memory leak, dragging, replacing font

I started a new thread, rather than replying to the other thread about dynamic linking to audition, because I wanted to discuss 3 things that are bugging me about the most recent version of PP CC 2017.  The last thing you said to me in the other thread ...You asked me if I used plural eyes - that would be a no.

 

#1, (DYNAMIC LINKING AND MEMORY LEAK) We were discussing the dynamic linking in another forum post, I said I had already gone through the trouble shooting process with customer service with remote desktop and you asked if I wanted to escalate it further. For the moment I'm going to hold off but I may reply in a few days to that question. I saw somewhere that if you uninstall and reinstall the creative cloud app, it may alleviate any problems you have. I did do a "repair" to the creative cloud app and I haven't tested the dynamic link yet, because I have a few corrections I need to do to the file I'm working in.   But I think there is a bigger issue with this and that is a memory leak, which seems to have been a problem in the past wth the cc when I searched it.

 

#2, (DRAGGING WITHIN PP) I do work on a desktop MAC that was put together by my son a few years ago it has 2 Dell monitors.  One of my monitors I just changed out in December. And recently my ability to drag within Premiere pro was not working. It had me completely stumped for several days.  I read somewhere on this forum a random fix - to drag the window to the other monitor and back. I also read that there was a problem if you had a particular type of monitor, which I don't have. So that is a pain in the ***. What's up? I drag pp to the other window and back again and it works again. But sometimes I have to do it every few minutes. It's just stupid.

 

#3, (FONT REPLACEMENT) A continual problem I've had since cc started is ...if for some reason my cc app isn't logged in when I open premiere pro it replaces all my custom fonts from my Adobe Library with courier.  If I don't realize it and save it I'm screwed, I have to go through my entire freaking project again and fix all the titles.  This sucks. There should be a way that after the project finds the missing font, that you can log back in and it will relocate the original font that was desired. But this isn't what it does. it replaces it and warns you that it has replaced it and done.

can't autosave to cloud due to write permissions

Hello,

 

I'm on Windows 10 Pro and for some reason I keep getting an error that Premiere Pro can't autosave to the creative cloud due to write permissions. When I go to the creative cloud folder which I placed on my internal  media drive there is a red line through the folder and read only is checked. Every time I uncheck it it reverts back to read only.

Reversed footage disappears

When I reverse a sequence (change speed to -100%) it just doesn't appear anymore as a visible layer - i.e. in the monitor, I see the footage from the video layer underneath it! Then when I change it back to 100%, it's back again.


Anyone else get this? Happened in CC 2014 too. It seems to be just when I put a sequence onto another sequence. So I'm reversing the speed of a sequence - not necessarily an individual clip.

Premier Pro 2017 -issues assembling segments

I am not a pro by any means but the new version, when dragging a clip or segment to the assembly timeline keeps showing a fist with the universal no symbol.  What am I doing wrong?  help!  Making me crazy!

I'm trying to work on Lesson 5 Desert Sequence  but I keep getting this media offline message and ? instead of footage. The files are on the laptop I'm using so why would they be offline? I know this is simple but I have spent 2 hours doing noting
