Hi guys,
I've had Premiere Pro for a while now but never really been a huge user of it.
Lately, I have started to use it to make videos of captured footage from PS4, Xbox One etc. using an elgato.
Since I started doing this I have had nothing but problems with the video and the audio coming out of sync. It's clearly a PP issue, as the files work perfectly in every other program I have tried them on. I used this forum to fix this issue once (using handbrake), but I don't want to have to do this for every single video file I use.
I am trying to make a 2-minute review at the moment, but 3 of the 5 files have the audio out of sync – it is a nightmare using PP and I am at the point where the effort required to make these videos far outweighs the reward. I mean, when PP works it's great, but this issue is driving me insane, and I don't know if it's worth persisting with PP. I also though this software was meant to be premium? Windows movie maker handles my files better than PP.
Anyway, like I said it is occurring to 3/5 current files, so it's not every file. I have searched these forums to find answers, but aside from handbrake there's nothing, and it's as if Adobe have just ignored years and years of complaints regarding this issue.
I notice that upon importing PP 'conforms' the file, and I have searched the forums to find ways to get PP to re-conform the files that are out of sync, but answers mention deleting .cfa files or cache, neither of which I seem to be able to find (there's nothing in the folders that are set to my projects save folder – and yes it's an internal HDD, not a portable).
Any pointers, advice or even other program suggestions would be appreciated. I use a lot of the other Adobe programs, so I like the idea of using Adobe for all my work, but if I have to use handbrake (which I shouldn't have to do) for every file then I am going to uninstall it and go with something else more suitable.
