Premiere mouse cursor bug
My mouse pointer is not targeting where the mouse is. It is targeting an inch below where the mouse visually is. This only happens when I'm dragging something in timeline.
Videos zoom in automatically when I put them in a sequence
How do I get my videos to show the same frame size so I can see the whole video and not just a zoomed part of it?
Multicam Editing Flow - Unanswered Questions
Hi there-
I've been watching a lot of tutorials about Multicamera editing in Premiere Pro CC.
There's a lot of great information about the effects, and the lumetri scopes, etc.
However, i have a problem I can't seem to find the answer for.
I have a two camera edit. I create a multicam sequence, synced, cut, no problem.
Basically one camera is ok, maybe a little too highlighted in places. The other footage is ok, but dark in some places.
First question: am I correct to do the multicam edit before doing lighting and other adjustments?
Now- I have looked up doing the clip editing, where I have the ideal footage in the reference monitor, and the 'edit' footage in the program monitor.
The Second problem I have is that the edits seem to happen across both cameras, rather than just the 'edit' footage. This doesn't take place in the reference monitor, but when composite playback happens, the edits seem to include both.
What am I doing wrong, and can anyone give me a little more specifics on how to setup the edit? Not in terms of how to create the sequence, etc, but more of a workflow solution as to when lighting and effects should be applied, and how to apply to separate clips in a multicam sequence.
Thanks for the help- I tried to check as many sources as possible but couldn't quite find the answer i was looking for.

How do I manage Premiere Pro Plug-ins?
I have the exact same problem every time I get a new major update to PP. Some plug-in from either SmartSound or Plerleyes is not up to date and I get an transitory error message dialog box on every WAV file I import. Here's a screen shot of the dialog box: 2017-06-11_1620 which reads:
"Premiere Pro version 11.1 is not compatible with the Premiere Pro Plug-in version 5.8.5".
If PP knows the plugin is incompatible they why does it install it during the update? Why can't this dialog give me a hint about which plug-in it's complaining about? Is there an error log somewhere?
Now I have to go on a hunt for how to manage the plugins for PP, which is not documented anywhere very clearly that I can find. (This isn't a VST plugin so the existing VST plugin manager in PP isn't useful.
Can anyone shed some light on how to track down these plug-ins? Oh and Adobe, please improve your update installations. They break other things too. On this last one I couldn't get Windows 7 to let PS open graphics files. I had to open PS and then have it open the files. Took awhile but I fixed it. It would just be nicer if the installation took care of that.
Premiere cc2017 will not open projects from other mac users
This morning I found a serious bug with Premiere 2017. I have two iMacs running Premiere with two different licenses. Everything was working fine until we decided to have the editors swap projects and then we got an error message saying "The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements." This happened on both machines with both projects. Both projects open up fine with their original user. We are at this point stopping any further use of P2017 until this bug is solved.
Can't import videos to Premiere
Playback speeding up on imported files..
The videos are fine when I view them in the File Explorer, but when I import them into Premiere Pro, they speed up..
Are there any suggestions?
AZERTY keyboard instead of QWERTY
Hi,
I just updated to Premiere Pro CC 2017 on my computers and on both of them, the Keyboard Shortcuts window shows me an AZERTY keyboard instead of a QWERTY as I'm using.
I'm on Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.6) and my keyboard config is set to French Canadian CSA
Do you have any clues on what I should do to show QWERTY keyboard instead?
Thanks in advance!

When creating a Blu-ray Disc!
Please understand that I am not good at English and wrote it in Google Translator.
The camcorder you are using is a Sony fdr ax100 model. When I shoot, I have a codec selection, I have the xavc codec and avchd codec. In the product manual, xavc 1080p 60 frames were shot because the xavc codec is clearer.
I edited the shot in Premiere cc and finally made this Blu-ray disc. However, there is no xavc sequence to choose from in Premiere cc. Instead, avchd has a 1080p 60 frame sequence. I have no choice but to finish editing the avchd 1080p 60 frame sequence and the final output is to Blu-ray.
But I want to output to Blu-ray, but 1080p is only 23.97 frames.
When I select it and print it, the screen breaks when the screen moves.
Sony camcorder When editing a 1080p 60-frame source in xavc mode in Premiere cc, what sequence should I choose, and when I want to make a Blu-ray disc, which preset should I choose the best result?
Buying a semi-professional - but not too expensive - camcorder
Hey there:
I'm looking for a semi-professional product for a reasonable price. Of the four options - sourced from Amazon - listed below, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the more expensive JVC. Intention is to shoot high-end quality interviews and footage without breaking my bank. Prices are Canadian... Any comments on the JVC from people familiar with the camera? Any other suggestions in that price range? Using Premiere Pro CS6. Any constructive feedback is much appreciated.

Premiere Pro CC 2017 Title Menu Missing
I am running Premiere Pro CC 2017 on Windows 10 and the Title menu is missing. How do I get it to show up or is there something I am missing.
Titles not updating
All the functions of creating and editing titles look as if they are performing normally. However, after I create my title clip, any future edits to the title clip do not save.
It's behaving almost as if there is a "save" button that I am not clicking within the title designer window. Did the latest Premiere introduce a 'save' button or similar function that I need click to save my Title changes?
Here's the steps that I am performing: (chiefly... I have also tried other methods to see if that changes behavior - it hasn't)
- Create new title
- Enter text into title
- Click "x" in title designer window
- Drag my title onto timeline
- double click my title clip
- Edit text a little in title designer window. I notice that the changes that I see within the title designer window do *not* show up in the timeline.
- Click "x" in title designer window
- Notice that no changes have been made to my title clip!
I've checked the timeline and the title clip in the project...
Clearing out the media cache does give a *temporary* reprieve - meaning that after clearing out the media cache, I get normal titles behavior for a short amount of time.... sometimes it lets me edit 4 or 5 more titles, sometimes not even one. I can't tell what is happening or why this behavior is kicking in.
This is an issue that is preventing me from completing a couple paid projects... i guess i may just have to make the titles exactly perfect upon title creation as a temporary workaround, but this is a highly frustrating issue.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Motion Graphics - Limits & Frustrations when put to actual use.
Here are some of the limits we ran into testing for use in an actual post-production workflow.
Presumes the following environment:
- Complex timelines with many Motion Graphics templates and many instances of each template both in one sequence and across multiple sequences
- On-the-fly changes being made a) to the design of the templates, b) to the text and properties in the instances, c) quantity of property controls passed from AE to PPRo
#1: The only way we're able to introduce a MOGRT (Motion Graphics) file into the project is by dragging it into a timeline. Can't drag to a the project panel, a bin, or even the Essential Graphics-generated "Motion Graphics Templates Media" bin. Dragging into the timeline is not exactly optimal. Risky. Easy to accidentally over-write existing timeline cuts. This is more of an inconvenience than a deal-breaker. The following are more problematic
#2: We haven't found a way to update an existing Motion Graphic at the PPro project level. If we update a template in AE we're forced to re-import/re-introduce the updated version to our PPro project. It arrives as a new (same-named) template that can't be linked or merged with the prior. In order to update sequences with the new template, we have to select all related instances and execute a "Replace Clip With..." That's ok for smaller, simpler projects. It's a deal-breaker for larger, more complex ones. Why...
- In a complex project there's no easy way to quickly and accurately select all the timeline instances relating to one particular template, shy of using dedicated tracks, or some JSX.
- If there are multiple sequences all sharing multiple instances of Motion Graphics of Templates the prospect of constantly updating all of quickly becomes daunting.
- It's an inefficient, time-consuming process.
#3: Even after updating Motion Graphics timeline instances, the updated instances don't reflect certain changes made at the AE context, namely additions or changes in property controls. The only solution to that we've been able to come up with involves over-cutting the new Motion Graphic into the timeline. That means losing any text entries or property settings. That takes more time, introduces more risk than #2 above.
Curious to know if we're just over-looking something -- that there is some way to replace Motion Graphics at the project level that includes all style and property changes. Would love to know we can overcome these limitations. Otherwise, for our purposes, Motion Graphics are a brilliant, promising new development with great potential but which are self-defeating in a complex, professional post-prod workflow. And yet that's precisely the environment to which Motion Graphics seem best suited.
Imported assets always go to the same bin
I recently upgraded to Premiere 2017, and now when I import media, it always goes to the same bin.
This happens if I right-click a different bin and choose Import from the contextual menu, if I select a different bin and use the CRTL+I keyboard shortcut, and If I use the menu File>Import. The only way I can get my media to go to a specific bin is to drag and drop it onto the bin.
This isn't a critical bug, but it's certainly a change from previous versions and gets pretty annoying. I have to drag the asset from the "import" bin into the correct bin every time I import something.
How to save lower third as a template
With older versions I've noticed that to save a lower third, there was a button right next to "Roll Crawl Options," and "New Title." I have the newest version of CC and I don't see that button to save my lower third and tried dragging the file into my library but won't work. I made a lower third in an existing project and decided I want to save it for future projects but how do I go about this? The lower this is simple text and a watermark.Thank you!
