Premiere crashing frequently when using open captions

$

Hi,

I'm having a lot of trouble with Open Captions in Premiere. Whenever I use it, Premiere will crash without any warning after a short while.

The time it takes for it to crash and exactly what I'm doing varies wildly. Sometimes it crashes after just a couple of minutes, but other times it can be half an hour before it suddenly quits. If I don't manually save between every caption, I risk losing all the work.

Anyone with an idea of why this happens, or anyone who have been able to solve a similar issue?

I have sent multiple crash reports to Adobe about this, but have yet to hear back.

I'm using OSX 10.11.1 and Premiere Pro CC 2017 1.1 Build 11.1.1 (15) now, but this issue has been prevalent since I started using PP CC last fall.

I used to own an HTC EVO 3D cell phone that took 3D video and it's side by side.  That phone is now a paper weight and I wanted to convert the video it took in 3D format to 2D. Did a search and could not find the answer or I'm just blind.  I do wear glasses How could I do that in the latest PPro?

Clips audio speeds up and out of sync after saving capture

$

I am capturing High 8 tapes using a Sony GV-D200.  I am getting captures and they are saving as .mov files.  If I play them independently say using Quicktime (yeah on a MACBook Pro one version back from the current one) and they play fine without any issues.  If I import them into iMovie, they also play fine.

When I try to play them in the preview monitor the audio is way speeded up and out of sync with the video.  If I run a clip through hand break and set the frame rate to 29.97 and them reimport the clip, it plays fine.

I don't think I changed anything in the settings in Premier and if I look at the settings they are the same as what is reported for the clip details.

I saw a tip in another post to set the input to "none" but that option does not show up in this instance of PP CC.

Help is most appreciated.

Premiere Pro only plays half of audio file. PLEASE HELP

Hey,

I'm editing a music video on a Mac desktop (os 10.7.5, 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i7) using premiere pro cs6.

There was no issue at first, but now the audio file (mp3) has become faulty. Only the first half will play (with waveforms) and the second half the waveforms go flat and there is just silence. I've tried reimporting it, rendering the audio file, rendering the whole project everything.
At first it wasn't working at all but I literally just moved the audio file to a different audio slot and it started playing an extra few seconds but that's it. File plays in everything else perfectly fine, but once it's brought in to premiere it partially flatlines.

Any ideas what I could try?

Thanks,

-Hugh

Premiere Pro 2017.1 Random Importing Bug

$

I'm having a bug where if more than a single bin is open and I import files into a project, it throws the file in what seems to be another random open bin in the project. It also seems like bins correspond with each other. If I don't close anything, I can consistently import in to open bin A and retrieve the desired files from open Bin E. Restarting premiere resets this correspondence (i.e. bin A now imports to bin C after restarting). I have tried multiple import methods, multiple machines, reinstalling Premiere and updating to 2017.1.1, but no luck getting it to work. This became an issue after updating to 2017.1. Is there a setting that changed with 2017.1? Is anyone else having this issue?

"Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and try again."

I've tried every possible fix short of physically removing my graphics card...

I'm trying to run the trial version of Premiere Pro CC 2017. I have successfully run After Effects, Creative Cloud(obviously), and Photoshop, but Premiere refuses to start up. Every time I try to run it, it loads for a while and then comes up with the "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and try again." message and then crashes.

I have an NVIDIA GTX 1060 graphics card that I've reinstalled the drivers for at least 4 times.

I am running as admin, I've tried disabling firewalls, I've looked everywhere for an option to disable on-board video (with no luck), and I've even tried to change BIOS settings (which I changed back after it didn't work).

I've tried every possible fix I can find, and I always get the same result...errormessage.png

File Loading Problems Error Message - the file has no audio or video streams...(it does)

$

Using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017.0.2 (11.0.2 (47) Build), I am getting the error message on one of my .mp4 files that the file has no audio or video streams.  Other files shot with the same settings, using the same camera, on the same day work fine.

The problematic file loads in any other program, it is an H.265 file with a 100 mbps bitrate, shot using a DJI Phantom 4 quadcopter stored in .mp4 file format.  shot at 3840x2160 29.97p

The other files shot on the same shoot are the same format, and they load fine.

The problem file is 5 mins and 16 secs long and 3.67GB in size, it will NOT load in media encoder or Premiere pro but can playback in windows media player and loads in Mercalli v4 SAL.

The next largest file I have from that day is 2.68 GB in size and 3mins 50 secs in length.  Adobe Premiere Pro and Media encoder load that file without any errors.

Is there some file size limit or something?  This is not the first file anomaly I've found with this version of Premiere Pro, .mp4 files from my GoPro Hero 4 and 5 cameras shot at 1280x720 240p no longer work anymore unless I first tell the software to interpret the footage at something other than 240 fps.  I have to put in 29.97 or 59.94 in the interpret footage for each clip or the sound module will crash.

Older versions of Adobe Premiere Pro can load the 720/240p files fine without having to change the framerate in the interpret footage section for each clip.

みなさま、

表題の通りなのですが、

「ファイル」→「新規」→「調整レイヤー」

が選択できず、困っております。

状況としては、タイムラインにMP4(4K、それぞれビデオとオーディオをフェードで切りはりしたデータ、リンク解除していない)を置いてあるのみです。

それ以外には、読み込んでいるデータはありません。

お知恵を拝借できれば幸いです。

Closed Captions Not Working

I am trying to create a closed caption in premiere pro cc (trial version) but when I am in the captions tab, am unable to select the 'add' caption button. I have enabled the captions and have watched many video tutorials and searched the web for answers but there is nothing about why the 'add' caption option might not be available?

Open Caption crashing

  Hi all,

I've been trying to use the captioning system in Premiere but every time I do the application crashes.

According to the forums, captioning is broken in 2015.3, but on my application its marked as 2015.4 and it still has the same issues.

Anyone have insight on this?

Bad "Save as" Dialog box behavior - hidden causing main Premier GUI to be inaccessible

$

This has happened a couple of times now causing the loss of work and a whole lot of frustration.

Premier will load the "Save as" dialog box behind the main GUI. The mouse cursor reports a spinning "loading/wait" indicator and I'm locked out as the applications focus is on the inaccessible hidden dialog box. When I hover over the Premier icon in the Windows 10 taskbar I see the thumbnail for Premier and the thumbnail for the inaccessible dialog box. When I click on the dialog box thumbnail it only loads the main Premier GUI.

Anyone experience this or have a solution?

Exporting MXF source in timeline

Hello,

We just started having problems exporting to movie on our MAC system. If any of the source files are of the MXF variety, the export fails. This only happens on our MAC. If I use one of our PC workstations, the export completes without issues. Below is the error message.

The error always happens in the last 15 seconds of time left. I delete the video for the last few scenes. Still fails.

If I have a sequence with non MXF format video, all is good.

We have Premier Pro 2017.0.1 v11.0 Tang running on a Mac Pro with OSX El Capitan V10.11.6

Thanks for your help

How to set a default export preset?

$

Hi,

First, I have searched the forums and only found threads that didn't have any real conclusions.

I edit a lot of files, and for 95% of them I use the same export preset, as I'm sure many people do.  I very rarely use the Match Source preset, as I need to save bandwidth/file sizes.  Premiere Pro remembers my Format choice (H.264), but it doesn't remember my Preset.  I have to select it manually every time.  I haven't found any way to set a default.

Can anyone help with this?  I'm quite surprised that a program as thoroughly developed and refined as PP doesn't have this implemented many years ago.

Thanks!

Audio Problem

Dear colleagues :-),

I'm facing a problem here while editing. Like I always do I import my videos (plus audio) into a new project of premiere pro. Normally I see no problems with that.

For the first time now, I wanna do that, the audio bar comes with the video offcourse, but there is  no sound, I also don't see an audio wave in the audio bar, so it's just not there. When I go to my finder, the audio is there, so I don't see what 's going on.
Can anybody help me please?

Big hug already for helping me.

Karen

Exporting to broadcast quality

$

Hello -

I have been asked to provide a video in a specific format in broadcast quality. I need advice for what settings I need to use when exporting the final video so that the resulting file adheres to the following:

HD Content: XDCam 422 codec (QT wrapper, .mov extension)

NTSC broadcast standard

Video: 1920x1080i

              50 mb/s

              Long Gop

              29.97 (59.94) fps timecode

Video levels must be under 100 IRE and above 7-5 IRE (broadcast safe)

Audio: 2 channel stereo or 5.1

              48KHZ, 384kbps

Up to 6 channels of audio

               24bit

               Little or big endian

Audio must conform to a nominal level of -024 db with a maximum peak of -10.

This must be conformed to based on the CRTC loudness ruling.
